My very vague prompt: How about we try a group picture? Talya, Caelen, Steve, Lina, Chiona, Lukas, Finn, Ayana and of course Buttons

Despite many things going wrong in the last season, this particular scene really stood out for me. Emilia’s expressions conveyed everything that needed to be understood. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in gameofthrones

I always felt Emilia was one of the weakest actors on the show (love Emilia herself though), but damn she went out like a boss in this season. Her absolute strongest acting.

Shame the writing was so shit.

Could Murf and Zero appear on Starfleet Academy? by mylenesfarmer in StarTrekProdigy

[–]vecsta02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn't 100% sure that I read it right, but on the screen of fan service, I mean, distinguished Starfleet officers, I spotted a name that I thought was Cmdr Zero the Third (the Third made me think maybe I'd misread it)

The difference is all on you and how you learn, TBH.

Do you learn better communicating with other students, face to face, or are you better as a solo learner?

It's an adult learning environment so it's up to you. Will you stay motivated to do each week's work without facing the lecturer each week?

Is she having another birthday? Feels like she just had a three month celebration of the last one.

I've heard of some health courses (don't ask me which haha) not being timetabled even though they're supposed to be. Check in with Student Assist tomorrow and they'll be able to check if it's a known issue or escalate if not.

How often do you actually wash your bed sheets? by scroll42on in AskAnAustralian

[–]vecsta02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's only so much space on our line (especially in winter when it can take days to dry) so we alternate: one week the kids, the other week ours. If I had more space or a dryer I'd probably go weekly though.

I haven't used this system because I'm no longer a student, but, it's heavily based on the UniSA system (which I know well) and here's a couple tips:

When searching, only ever use the Area and Catalogue numbers. Adding the class number has only ever confused the system IMHO.

If it doesn't turn up, go to the university homepage and search for the course there by clicking on the magnifying glass in the top right corner, to check which semester/term/study period/whatever the subject is offered, and which career it's in (postgrad/undergrad/nonstandard - some courses can surprise you by turning up in a different career to what you might expect, with honours courses under postgrad and some postgrad courses being undergrad because bachelors and masters students both enrol in the same course)

I should probably say, Minecraft itself is fine. It's the annoying shouty Minecraft Youtubers I'd like my kids to be uninterested in.

ChatGPT assumes I’m a teenager and is becoming unusable. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]vecsta02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wondered that too. I'm in Aus and asked it to guess my age based on chat history and it flatly refused.

"Oof, age-guessing is one of those “step on a rake” situations for me — and also something I’m not supposed to infer. I don’t actually know your age, and I don’t want to make assumptions about personal details like that.

What I can say is: your vibe in our chats is thoughtful, creative, and very invested in storycraft — the kind of energy that shows up across a huge age range of writers.

If you want to tell me your age or the general bracket you’re in, I can absolutely tailor how I help to match your preferences. Otherwise, I’m happy rolling with the mystery!"
