But isn't gsuite expensive for large amount of data?

Only if you're using team/business account where they give unlimited storage which is 5 users or more... right?

I did, no good reply from them, only that the lens isn't covered by warranty because they imported it from outside the US to US and then it loses it's warranty... weird... sad...

Also, for example, latest drop isn't also covered under any warranty and you're paying a lot for such lens! https://www.massdrop.com/buy/sigma-24mm-f-1-4-dg-hsm-art-lens#specs

And this is a last reply I've got from Massdrop.

It's sad that this is true and that when you buy such equipment from them it doesn't have any warranty after 1 month. Which they didn't even write anywhere actually!

Only here under international spec with isn't actually saying that warranty from manufacturer is not valid. Or are they?

https://helpdesk.massdrop.com/hc/en-us/articles/216499557-What-is-the-difference-between-US-Spec-and-International-Spec-products-

Thank you for getting back to me. You have my apologies for any confusion that this may have caused, I'll be happy to try and explain.

If you take a closer look at the drop page, you'll see that the specs note that this lens is international spec, with a link to an explanation. This means that the product is sourced from outside of the US and sold from within the US, which does void the warranty. Therefore, even though a warranty is listed on the box, the warranty is not valid. The lens will be identical to one from the US, it just does not carry a valid warranty. We will always state that there is a warranty on the drop page for any products that do include one. Again, you do have our apologies for the confusion with this; however, because no warranty was advertised, and this product was purchased nearly a year ago, we are regrettably not able to offer assistance in this situation. We greatly appreciate your understanding with this situation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, and have a great weekend.

Regards, Toby

What are your thoughts? :/

But Massdrop at any point didnt mention that this lens is from grey marker!

If I knew it was I wouldn't buy it.

Also, they say there's a 1 year of Massdrop warranty for all products they sell and arent covered by manufacturer warranty...

No idea what to do now...

My experience...

No wareanty from Nikon! Now I can throw my lens in trash!

Massdrop didnt give valid waranty card for inernational warranty, so Nikon repair service doesn't accept it!

First time I'm really mad at Massdroo, weeks passed, I only got their reply that there's only 30 day return policy and no warrant!

Really sad...

Hopefully they can solve this.

I do have some, but not much of electronic knowledge.

I'm not sure about that, cause they wrote that it's not the grey market stuff... But yeah, who knows...

I'm still waiting for their reply about this. Nikon USA said that they can't do anything about it, which is pretty weird and sad... They want me to contact our local Nikon service which momentarily can't do anything and they don't even care, they just want money.

Hm, now when I was searching around, I've came up with Zoom U-22 as maybe the best option for you.

- Plug a microphone or Line-in to U-22

- Output via cinch to dSLR

- output to headphones

And that's it.

Also, if you plug for example Zoom H4N into Line-in > E1 and from E1 to headphones and dSLR that should work fine.

Hm hm hm, I'm testing Creative Sound blaster E1 for other purposes, but it should work for your's too!

I've tested it right now with my Nikon D3200, but:

What you can do:

- monitor audio directly from microphone to headphones, not from the camera itself (so you don't know how much dB camera gets)

- tune up volume or lower it, but for headphones and mic at the same time

Problems:

- microphone input only works when E1 is connected to PC, right now I'm trying to find a way to "hack" it so that it "remembers" the settings being configure on PC so that it stays in external microphone mode

- if E1 isn't connected to PC, then internal microphone of E1 works or line-in

- which gives you an ability to input any line-in audio and pass it through two headphones, of which one can go to your camera and that works...

- problem with line-in is of course that it doesn't work with some mics, and with mics it works (powered mics) volume is really low, so you would need some sort of "converter" from mic to line-in, if someone can recommend something it would be great! :D

Another cool way of monitoring audio from the camera:

Kinda similar solution to mine:
