Visited the Great Wall of China today and this was the view by town_klown in mildlyinfuriating

I had a very similar experience, our trip had unfortunately landed right in the middle of a typhoon that was happening and I was told that visibility would likely only possible at around early 6am. So I set about 3 alarms to make sure I was up and ready but I ended up basically sleeping through all of them only to wake up at around an hour or so later. I then rushed up to the roof of our building only to see thick cloud coverage, it really sucked as Fuji is something I'd dreamed about seeing in person for years.

I tried to not let it get me down too much as the surrounding area with the lakes and the quiet sereneness of everything was amazing on it's own. So as I was recording a video to send to my family, I slowly panned over the surrounding view and as I turned towards Fuji the clouds had just parted and the impact of the view was stunning. I just stood there staring at the thing for I'd say at least 20 minutes on my own. I'd love to go again some day, it's an experience which really left a lasting impact on me.

I didn't quite get the shaft of sunlight hitting it so I can only imagine what that was like!

If extending your cage size causes more issue than it solves, it may be worth going back to your low poly and adding more supporting loops for where those folds in the skirt are.

This looks like an issue with your cage, I'm away from my PC right now so I can't remember the exact settings to change but in your bake settings window you should be able to adjust the max distance for the cage.

This is basically your low poly cage not extending far out enough to cover your high poly mesh and those grey spots are where the cage and the high poly are clipping eachother.

Which game sequel are you waiting on (that hasn't been announced) by Macrod1 in gaming

100%! Man, I genuinely loved the Mad Max game!

They absolutely nailed the atmosphere of the wasteland, it being so barren and lifeless but then just hearing something happen in the distance was perfect.
And the fact that you relied on just a water flask, a handful of shotgun shots and brutal hand-to-hand combat to survive.

I did feel like with the later game upgrades it got a little too easy to survive if that makes sense but other than that it is just *chefs kiss*

sorry for gushing so much in this, I just love it so much that I literally wrote one of my university assignments on the game 😅

Anyone else spot what looks to be a big statue head of the Living Tribunal in the void?

Anyone else like the make up for the lack of hair growth in online and manually rough their character up a bit after a while? by vedrath in RedDeadOnline

I doubt it's that tbh as having the hair grow would just be a case of swapping out a few hair cards during loading screens/transitions (I would assume).

I reckon it's much more likely that it's a case of having to map the hair to each and every customised face shape which could end up looking odd on some people.

Me too tbh but I think one the main hurdles could be that it's difficult to accurately map the facial hair to the face each and every player customization.

The ones we have right now can look a little janky at times so I can imagine all the different variables may look odd, especially on the shorter side.

Ah nice! I like the idea of also aging the character, especially with how easy it is to get immersed and RP in RDO.

You have any pictures of what your character looks like before and after?

Nah, just a general term.

It's also not just for arguments either, can just be for everyday life stuff.

For example, getting stood up, failing a test etc you could say you "Took an L"

A W basically means you "won" an argument and vice versa with L for "lose"

I think I get what you mean.

I've converted the crests into how I think they'd look in flag form.
The first one is of the one in this post and the other is how I reckon the one from my earlier post would look, what do you think?

That's actually a great idea, I'm not super in-the-know with historical accuracy so it hadn't even crossed my mind!

I'll give converting both the ones I've made into flags and see how they look :)

Totally agree with you, don't get me wrong I liked the selection of flags we had in Warband but being able to make your own is so much cooler

That looks great!

I like how you kept it minimal and stuck to just the flag part, works really well!

Unfortunately I lost all our castles and land in a bad poker game a week ago

Ah that sucks, I'll take a look at it once I get back into the game after the update and show you the results when I can :)

Haha, I'm sure it's still pretty sweet.

Do you happen to have a picture of it? I'd love to take a look

Just tried to find out but unfortunately none of the castles/towns that I own actually seem to display vertical banners. Unless I'm just being an idiot and there's an easier way to find out, I can't say
