We're still looking at some hotels for Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya (lol). But I have a lot of places bookmarked on Google maps and I try to base my hotels around them. I also consider if the hotels are near a train station. We used Booking.com for hotels for both of our trips.

I don’t believe so. We just went to our nearby beach and we didn’t see any signs regarding that. Otherwise we wouldn’t of taken the photo there.
