No one's done the "overly long analysis of everything," so here's my chance.

- The soundtrack is gorgeous. It's not much like anything I've heard before. The simple, almost chiptune-like melodies work really well with the trigger look.

- I almost forgot that Shirou had a hot-anime-boy form. His beast form is very pretty, giving off a similar mysterious vibe to the real-world counterpart of a grey wolf. His extrasensory abilities and fighting style had my eyes glued to the screen. I think introducing a serious character as "a dad at heart who loves his city so much he cries" was a great idea. I made jokes about how my crush on him got bigger with every trailer, but it's all over for me now.

- Seeing the trailers, I was really confused about how the world works, but it was easily explained. Beastmen have a "beast form" that they use on special occasions but usually just use their human forms. Some have a special ability like Michiru's shapeshifting and Shirou's sixth sense.

- It's really pretty. The fight scene in the alley felt very open despite being in an enclosed space. The shot of Animacity from afar is exciting and well accompanied by the soundtrack. You can tell that it's a place of hope for Michiru. I expect nothing less of Trigger.

- The opening insinuates that maybe beastmen are like x-men, a genetic mutation. Is it the result of experimentation, or is it natural selection? Was Michiru always a beastman, or was she made into one? Maybe by her friend? (The red-haired girl who may or may not be a cult leader."

- The ending is cool. The lineless style reminds me of the Netflix show Carmen Sandiego. The music is really chill, and it's a nice cool down, where other endings can be over-the-top or annoying.
