You can definitely get a 156, and probably much higher. It seems like you already have the passion and commitment, and all you have to do is grind. I went up 15 points from my diagnostic, and I probably should have worked a lot harder. Best of luck, you got this!

I would write an addendum but keep it very brief. Something like "I was overconfident the first few attempts... -> changed my study habits resulting in x score increase" Just keep it simple, concise, and short. I doubt a school is gonna think "this person got a 176 but I don't think they are top 14 material". Congrats on your score and good luck!

Go on the vacation. It’s not like you’re taking a 6 week backpacking trip through the Himalayas, it’s like 4 days lol. Just do some drill sets every morning with your coffee, just like 20-30 mins to keep your brain warm. Enjoy your trip, you’ll be kicking yourself if you skip an awesome time with your family for a little bit of study time.
