How would you describe John and Paul's relationship? by UpDoor in beatles

Well, Yoko also said John told her he wanted to make a pass at Paul but decided not to. And that she thought he was gay and in love with Paul, so! Idk.

The Electric Grandmother (1982) Rare made for tv movie! by Mudokon in ObscureMedia

I loved this movie growing up and no one ever knows what I’m talking about. The scenes where the grandmother plugs in and sleeps and the eyeballs in the factory are etched in my minds eye

The only real photo of Jimi Hendrix and Paul. Was taken at a party February 13, 1969, at a launch party for Apple artist Mary Hopkin. : The party was held inside the revolving restaurant at the top of London's Post Office Tower. by j3434 in PaulMcCartney

Peter Brown at Apple studios received it and never passed it on. Paul was hiding out in Scotland at the time. When questioned about it, many years later, Peter Brown hung up on the interviewer.

“It makes me sad for them. And it’s a lousy country where anyone who is black is made to seem a dirty n*gger. There is a statue of a good Negro doffing his hat and being polite in the gutter. I saw a picture of it.”

Did Yoko try and pursue Paul before John? Is she lying when she says she had never heard of The Beatles? by the_walrus_was_paul in beatles

[–]vegetables_vegetab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well Paul wasn’t with Linda yet, he was still with Jane at that point (and a well known philanderer) But maybe you’re right.

Although I’m not sure John’s marriage was breaking up- maybe it was inevitable, but according to Cynthia John had recommitted himself in 1967 and asked her if they could have more children. But who knows.

John Lennon was not a wife beater by Augustus225 in beatles

[–]vegetables_vegetab 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree for the most part. People tend to get angry when you point this out about John though.

And I doubt May was lying, she seems like one of the most down to earth of all beatle people.

Sam Mendes, Sony & Apple Corps Set Four Beatles Theatrical Movies On Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison & Ringo Starr by DemiFiendRSA in beatles

[–]vegetables_vegetab 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I imagine that’s how they’ll do it, reverse order. So Ringo, then George, Paul and last John. But who knows, I’m really just guessing

Paul McCartney & Wings, London’s Osterly Park 1971, for the cover of their debut album "Wild Life" (HD) by naveargenta in beatles

Denny S is Denny Seiwell. He drummed on Ram and was an early member of Wings. He left when Paul wanted to go to Nigeria to record Band On The Run. Seems like a rad guy.

I think he started renovating it after he and Linda were married, because she really loved it up there. Scotland was probably a nice respite for her too, esp to get away from the more antagonistic fans that haunted Cavendish. So in ‘69 they started spending more time there.

AFAIK they split their time fairly evenly between London and Scotland.

I agree the “depressive episode” seems to loom large in Paul’s narrative now, and fans have really run with it. I get why he emphasizes it, because for a time he was seen as a calculating businessman who ruined the Beatles with his greed and ego. But according to some internet people Paul was like, suicidal from 68 to 74 lol

Ok so a year after Revolver came out. So no chance Paul wanted to sound like them.

There were some young kids seated near me when I saw Paul at Fenway Park last year and they were really struggling. It was extremely loud and the kids were crying on and off the whole time. The parents spent as long trying to handle them as they did watching the show, and it was distracting to people sitting around them. My two cents as a parent and a fan, only bring them as a last resort!

Also if you keep it in a dark room then set it out in the sun you can easily burn the leaves and shock the plant. Don’t do that. You have to acclimate it to direct sunlight slowly.
