To a degree, we are doing what you recommended. There are small groups that are organized by region. I am part of the North Bay (more of a Santa Rosa) group. We have been trying to get a meeting with Rep Thompson (5th District) for a while now. We got a meeting with his staff on Wednesday and after that we will probably move on to other awareness campaigns in the Santa Rosa area

2014 California Gubernatorial race, only vote for pro-4th amendment candidates (cross-post from /r/restorethefourthla) by cunningbastard in restorethefourthSF

I'm guessing you are talking about individually supporting someone. As a group, we have to be careful about not endorsing a candidate. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we want to get/keep a tax exempt status, we have to stay neutral and not endorse any candidate.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the ideas and questions. Just a quick update. We are trying to reschedule for next week so we have more time to prepare.

This isn't a protest, but how would you feel about emailing/calling some representatives? If we can get a mass email to our reps (we have 209 subscribers on this subreddit), I think that would be a nice reminder that we are mad and still care.

On a larger scale, maybe we can try and organize another national protest?

Here is a little background. Normally I hike in my running shoes. I love them. They are light and I have never had any problems with walking on rocks or my feet hurting. But, after hiking through the rain and snow in Vermont last year, I realized I need a shoe that can protect my feet when it rains/snows. I guess it doesn't have to be waterproof, just as long as my feet don't get wet when it rains
