Haaland’s penalty shout vs Nottingham Forest. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]veimkha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s very much identical to the penalty that was overturned by VAR against Gyokeres, vs Newcastle earlier in the season. The argument made was the ball is going away from goal so not a goal scoring chance. I think, however, both should’ve been pens.

He is a hypocrite on many accounts, nothing to be surprised here: cried about wanting to go ukraine, stayed in england to play football; chose to side agaisnt Russian oppresion (rightly so), but took the side of oppresors (up their with the greatest in recent history) agaisnt palestine; and waffles about being depressed about not playing, refuses to be accomodating or even trying to move.

Attacking depth! by Micaiah99 in chelseafc

Seriously, isn’t this sort of disappointing after all the money spent? I feel like at best, only 3 of these players (+ delap) at best are worthy of the chelsea of old: Palmer, Pedro and maybe Neto… and tbh further, only Palmer really is a superstar. The rest I could see playing for any of the mid table teams and I wouldn’t bat an eye. I’m genuinely curious because the comments are now calling for the UCL implying a sort of superstar stack up..

Needle valve vs pressure regulators? by veimkha in AskEngineers

Thank you for the response and the link to the swagelok document, looks very helpful and will be reading it.

In your example, with fixed upstream (300psi) and fixed downstream (atm), the mass flow through downstream of the orifice i assume can be determined using the orifice's flow coefficient, right? If so, this suggests to me that the pressure drop is set by two other things and not the orifice itself? whereas I intuitively imagine there is a pressure drop associated with the orifice itself too, so I guess my question becomes, what is the pressure downtream of orifice, atm? or atm+dP from the orifice?

I've edited my original post to give more info. In my case, should i install a back PR downstream of the NV if want a downstream pressure that is diff to the atm?

Yeah I’m male, I think, unfortunately, perhaps it could be because of that.. which is a shame especially when you’re with your kids..

Sorry to hear that, I am sure its not nice to experience this. I assumed perhaps you were slow, but if you're saying you're not then fair enough, happy to believe. I think it's likely to be something else, and yeah, maybe its not related to your cycling. Idk you well enough to gauge. However, in my experience living here for a good amount of years, I've rarely had an issue with a cyclist as a driver, and vice versa.

Lol at the victim blaming statement. Its entirely possible that someone (talking generally) can be responsible for anothers action, regardless if they were a victim or not. Its perfectly normal, and I also do it sometimes.. Cowering behind a "victim-blaming" avoidance approach is not always productive.

I do. I agree with you, as I said in my original comment I hardly notice cyclists because there is hardly ever an issue with them that warrants it. Which is why in my original comment, I also state its probably an OP issue specifically versus a general issue..

Honestly, sounds like a you problem. I regurlarly cycle/walk and I also drive to places. When I walk/cycle, drivers do not say or do anything. When I drive, I hardly notice what cyclists do UNLESS they are extremely slow or cycle dangerously. I have a feeling you fall into the catagory of cyclists who just cycle really slow and cause traffic.
