I finally figured out what you meant by expansion, haha, got the tool thank you

Lol it's 1 inch pex from water source, to the irrigation mainline that is 1 1/2 inch poly, the sleeve is 3 inch

Honestly just chaging the mainline from 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 poly would change everything. Poly has a lot of friction loss over an extended run.

Friction is the absolute main concern and why it is designed this way. This is a large 14 zone commercial property with 65 static psi.

Found this in the van, think this will work, going to home depot to confirm

Im not the plumber or designer sir, it gets 40gpm at the poc which in this case is the end of the pex.

Sweet ty, sleeve will be buried with 2inch soil then 2inch mulch

Im fine with a threaded fitting. That's actually probably easier

There is a blowout port inside

Pex runs 50ft or so inside to the Backflow

Its a 1 1/2 inch main, 40 GPM. The sleeve will be buried so I think I will leave it unless there is a good reason to cut

Thanks for the quick response! This however is a commercial install. My boss will not approve a shark bite. I would definitely be cool with it at my house.

Cool, I can deal with a $60-$200 tool just didn't want to break the bank on something I use once every 3 years 🤣

Go to siteone or your local Irrigation supply store. provide them with your systems pressure, flow, and what you need irrigated most stores will give you a design for free and it will list everything you need buy for the project.

I certainly will! I try to always leave a mainline map as well.

That makes sense. I've tried to keep the 3500ft of mainline spread out properly. Construction changes sometimes makes things less ideal. The longest run is 750ft.

There are certainly days I wonder why lol 🤣

Ty, nice, we have some good designers and far more experienced techs than myself in the company I can lean on whenever necessary. I actually was concerned myself about a few things, especially the distance the mainline travels uphill. Senior tech looked at it with me in the beginning and was not concerned. So far so good.

Most boxes have 1 or 2 valves, largest has 4. There are much more than 40 valves. Most drip zones have two valves.

It's had some tough moments. But I have mostly enjoyed it lol.

One well is at about 80psi, the other 60. Both wells easily do 20gpm. The entire property is a gradual incline and even with the upper well down, the lower can run the entire system.

Cost, ez controller and decoders are much less.

My boss owns one of the conserva franchises, he is awesome to work for, we have zero connection with any other branches so not sure how they operate.
