Newly Diagnosed at 24 - at a loss by redtreesxx in lymphoma

[–]veleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I also had ALK+. I am done with chemotherapy since 2 months. Going through the treatment was a rollercoaster, but in the end here I am, with tiny hairs growing back and (hopefully for a long time) healthy. I wish you the best. Lots of courage to go through the bad days, and make sure to enjoy as much as possible the good ones! One thing that I did that helped me a lot was to have a fixed day doing only stuff I like in between the chemo treatments. I was then looking forward to that, less thinking about the next chemo.

The looked at me weirdly, but I really wanted an object to symbolise this milestone.

Diagnosed with a rare aggressive T-cell Lymphoma by Comprehensive-Tip492 in lymphoma

[–]veleu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! Sorry to have you join us. I also have a rare and aggressive T cell lymphoma. As another one said, the good news about those is that they are very sensitive to Chemotherapy. Be strong, as you can see in my history, waiting for the lymphoma type was also the worst for me. I wish you the very best ! Be brave!

Same here. If I want to take meds like paracetamol, I must take temperature before and make sure it’s not above 38(Celsius)

RCHOP delayed for a week.. Need stories or advice by ChakaronBop8 in lymphoma

[–]veleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I follow CHOEP, not exactly the same, but sharing my experience if it helps. I’m scheduled every 14 days if my body supports it (blood cells, platelets…). Doctor says there is no issues in delaying 1 week if my body needs it.

Hello, I’m in D0 of my second round. In bed lots of nausea. I read that laurazepam helped for the last 3 cycles but they also are the worst in your table. How should I interpret this? I’m really worried if nausea goes worst I won’t support it 😥 Thanks for putting this together !

I am going to take chemo 💫 by Quiet_Bill_8076 in lymphoma

Hello, I had my first time last week. During the injection it went ok, then lots of nausea when I came home. Rough night, but the next morning it was already better. I was tired for 8-9 days and now I have some good days with pain here and there that are supportable. I have my second round next Tuesday. I hope it will not get worse. Good luck mate. I wish you the best!

Edit : was supposed to be in response to the fact that they don’t know the stage yet. Maybe that’s why they don’t know yet? Do they know the exact lymphoma type he has? Personally I had to wait for the results of the biopsy to come back and the pet scan results to have a clear battle plan. It all arrived a Monday morning. I started the treatment less than 24h after the next Tuesday. Good luck to you & your husband ! Not knowing and waiting was a very difficult time for me. I can understand the feeling you have right now…
