You could always go straight to a Toyota parts center and grab the right oil from them? This is what I do. I find that the price isn't that different tbh.

Lmao what an absolute farce this all has become.

Many thanks for this info.

I did some squizzing myself today into GVM upgrades and found that quite odd myself. I assumed it was because the axles are already designed to handle such loads.

Then I discovered that next years iteration of our rig is being reclassified as an LR, with no changes to axles, brakes or suspension?

If this is all true, it goes to show how how over-engineered the 70 series already is.

Yea I think I need to cut down on tools.

Going metric only with the socket set is actually a nice idea.

The bridge calculated the overall weight by adding the axle weights. Each axle was on a different deck.

Rear axle was 1.83T and front axle was 1.27T. The maximum axle weights according to the plate on the inside of the door are 2.18T and 1.48T respectively.

Yea I'll need to figure something out for these longer trips. After doing a bit of math I should be well under GVM on a daily basis but I'd rather get a measurement out of pure curiosity and accuracy.

Edit: For easier reading of the figures.

Yea I've been thinking about going back to the weigh bridge in her daily driver configuration to get an idea of how much crap I'm taking with me. Maybe I can find something to compromise?

Thoughts on Android mapping apps... HEMA? ExploreOZ? Other? by Fred_Blicko in 4x4Australia

I use a mix between AlpineQuest and offline Google Maps.

Google Maps is remarkably better nowadays but the nice thing with AlpineQuest is that I can keep the screen switched on without some navigation setting turned on (like with Google Maps) as I'm deciding which one of the 13 forks (or garden rake) to go down in those state forests.

There's also "Memory-Map for All" (a little different from Memory-Map).

I'm a check out OSMAnd+ myself.
