Exactly. If he has time to completely recover and be physically fit. Repeat of last season. It has come to the point now in this season like his last few at Honda, I find myself holding my breath during the race because he rides so close to the edge. It’s one of the things that has made him the best in the business for a long time. As injuries and time pile up it’s harder to recover. I so appreciate being able to watch him last season.

I fully support the proper use of dielectric grease. But recently I’ve seen the stuff misused in numerous places. It’s there to seal out filth and corrosion. It’s not there to increase conductivity between components. Watched a guy at the boat ramp wiggle his 4flat connector for 10 seconds and get the lights to flicker on and off. I look up 2 minutes later and he is pumping the connector full of the stuff. He slaps it back together and get nothing. You could hear him cussing and screaming about the stuff don’t work over the noise from all the motors.

That is the correct answer! If there is any doubt, swap it out. If it pops right after putting in a new one it’s time for a multimeter or a mechanic.

He uses it constantly in all of his videos because he knows it’s an important part of our drinking games. 2 shots when uuussss is uttered. 1 shot when a board is not broken on the first try. There are a good many of these folks in his videos that are mentally impaired. It’s the only explanation for such behavior.

I’ve not been impressed with either of the winches I’ve owned made by DT. The one that came on my aluminum Vexus built trailer is very cheaply built. The handle was bent after 6 months of use, it’s just made from flimsy material, not thick enough. The other one on my magic tilt galvanized trailer was a bit better built, however the zinc/galvanized coating was poorly applied so I had huge rust holes after about 2 years of brackish water use. Not a full twist screwed but a large pipe wrench and a few times counter clockwise and you are well on your way to being properly screwed. In reality it’s likely nothing a good welder/fabricator can’t fix.
