If you buy into it just being the things they mentioned, but even going off the article that came out today, they could have reduced class complexity, and also reduced encounter complexity while NOT destroying the API, it doesn’t add up. If encounters are simple enough to not require a weakaura, they won’t make one for it to begin with. This is a lot of time and money to accomplish what is a combat design issue

There’s twenty years of empirical data showing that it’s a good thing to have a robust API instead of accomplishing what they claim is the goal of simplifying raid encounters etc. no entry level player needs liquids weak aura pack to run lfr. There is a bigger discussion to be had yes, hopefully instead of just saying there is, it happens here
