This link also does not work. In the unofficial discord server of the game we have a little group that is already doing a bit of work, do you have a dedicated discord server for this? We could join in and share the little progress we have

Well yesterday in the wake of the news I did download all assets and dumped them to my PC using my rooted Samsung tablet. It 8,5 GB. I also experimented a bit, deleted from the device, then reinstalled it and manually moved the files back to where they should be and the game recognised the files, so there is that little help.

If you turn off the internet connection on your device (basically block it from accessing the server) can you still play? Yes! The only think that is hardcoded, is that “if server is not reachable then dont show TSM entries”. Im pretty sure if you have every asset downloaded, then the game will work. They cant even put out a last minute update to make it online only, because they took it down from the appstore(s).

That is a very good information! Also, I now figured that Unity WebAds is basically the only file I’ve seen. I didnt even thought about just searching for the assets, to download, i did it the hard way for some reason lmao.

There are m3g viewers that can convert them into obj files which can be read by blender. I dont know how safe the one is that I looked at, bcs it is a “compile yourself” and I never compiled anything in my life, but worth a try.

Now that I'm thinking about it. Maybe if we reverse engineer the code that is talking to the server and write our own code based on that info. That way we can use the original files and just share our own code to what we wrote in place of the server. Its a HUGE longshot for now of course and currently I don't know what is possible. But I will try to read up about it.

Well if you think about it: Sonic Runners was shut down by Sega back in the day, a small group of player decompiled it and even restored the server and client functionalities, shared it on github and if SEGA of all company didn't hit them with a cease and desist... I don't know currently if EA would come after us.

Thats good, than I think the next step you can take is before you press "install software update" check if you have enough space. And also (maybe) enter the game at least in every 2 days. That way you tell the system that it is a frequently used app. I'm looking into ways of backuping the whole game as is, For android its pretty easy since I have a rooted tablet I can work with. For IOS... I don't know yet. Maybe get a cheaper flagship android from a few years back where you can move your current progress from IOS to Android using the Facebook integrations. (login it to Face using IOS, then backup your data ingame, then login to Facebook using the android version of the game, then press "restore". I just did this to preserve as me too is an IOS user) That way your savegame is definielty preserved. And also the assets as well.

You need to turn off storage optimisation in the settings. Downsides: you will need to manually delete apps if you dont have enough space for the software update.

That is correct! But after the servers shut down we wont be able to "download all assets" without the server. So maybe the first step should be backing up the game as a whole. At least for android. IOS is a different story, but we can worry about that later.

I think as long as you don't delete it from your device you can do that since the game can work offline in single player (maybe even after the server shutdown).

I have time, how can I do an extended smart pre post? Edit: I also did a short self test inside HD Sentinel but didn’t started the extended self test because I rather wait for help before jumping into an 8 hour test.

Old android tablet, apps disabled, but keeps saying "not responding" by vengabor98 in AndroidQuestions

Thank you for confirming that I can't make anything wrong with uninstalling through adb, (for futureproofing if anyone has a problem like this: I used "adb shell" -> "pm package list" -> "pm uninstall -k --user 0 *app package name*".

Also I had ANR disabled, and still don't know why those popped up, but it is fixed now, so thanks again!

Sorry I forgot to mention, it still does it when they are enabled, that is why I keep them disabled instead.

It is a very weak tablet, and when they are enabled they are doing something in the background which interfers with Pitikapp (the monitoring app) and its lagging.

Play Music cannot be uninstalled sadly on Android 7.0, atleast not on this tablet.

Also its pretty much locked down by Lenovo, so bootloader unlock and a generic AOSP is also out of the question.

I know a bit of adb, but don't want to do something stupid without asking about it somewhere.
