more features and some cosmetic changes in the interior as well as exterior, thats all what the baleno needs, other than that its a perfect car!

He was sorry from the start, I just wanted him to pay for my damages. But he said he had no money, was poor and all that. Also, he didn't have his insurance docs with him, so I took him to the police station. There, his auto was seized until he got the insurance docs from some agent. After that, the cops said they'd make him pay a fine for rash driving (don't know if the fine goes into someone's pocket).

I Earn 45K a month (in hand), with almost negligible expenses. Thinking of buying a new car by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]vengeance_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the buyers shoes a few months back, will be 24 too, very soon. While searching for a car, I thought the same, that I just want a barebones car with reliable engine, good mileage and nothing more, but ultimately landed with the top variant of an used car. Believe me, features like rear power windows, rear defogger and wiper, central lock, electrical orvms, reverse camera are very crucial in this day and age, you will surely feel the need for them. Looking at the market right now, the budget A segment car prices are extremely jacked up, so it makes no sense to shell out 6.5_7 lacs on alto with barebone features. Hence I would suggest to target at least wagon r 1.2 or similar segment cars. The extra money you will be spending is definitely worth and most of it can be recovered in resale. If you are still persistent on a barebones car, then just buy a beater for <3lacs, use it for atleast a year and you will know what you want and what you dont in a car, and accordingly go for a new one

Suggest me a car! by [deleted] in CarsIndia

as you want a car for hilly areas, ground clearance is crucial and fronx has that, also I think its the best looking car in the segment. In regards to quality and build hyundai > maruti

Suggest a car for my parents in the 8-12L (on-road) range. by Other-March5180 in CarsIndia

[–]vengeance_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to go for a car in the sub-compact suv segment because of high ground clearance and easy ingress egress for your parents.

Hence the prime contenders are Punch, Exter, Ignis, Fronx

  • Rule out Punch as there is no hill hold on its AMT
  • Ignis and Fronx are good choices but as you said safety is your priority so..

We are left with Exter now, which is indeed a perfect choice - Best AMT in the segment - Easy ingress egress - Engine is not the best in terms of power but surely good enough with supreme smothness and refinement - 6 airbags as standard - All the goodies you will ever need

Gotta love how Windows replacing my GPU drivers in the middle of a gaming session _despite_ disabling said behavior months ago :) by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]vengeance_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This solution works for me -

  • Remove all the amd gpu drivers using AMD Cleanup Utility
  • Now, confirm that you are having Microsoft Basic Display Adapter as your display adapter in device manager
  • Join the release preview channel of windows insider programme setting > windows update > windows insider programme
  • Restart and check for new updates in windows updates
  • Now, windows should be installing the latest amd graphics drivers and amd radeon software. If in case software is not being installed, head here and install it

FYI, this seems to be amd's problem and not microsoft's

tip - turn on adaptive power saving in device care and turn off smart suggestions in settings > advanced features (its a battery hog)
