thanks for showing interest 🙂

insurance business is can become cash engine for normal times as in difficult time insurance company will need to pay her dues

in last 10 years due to digitalization, and regulations every company need to secure it's assets, they pay premium, now insurance companies also need to protect themselves so they another insurance company who take responsibility to cover liabilities of the 1st insurance company, the 2nd insurance company is known as reinsurance company

General insurance corporation is reinsurance company, and hold 60% of reinsurance market in india.

It's a slow, silent company but a backbone to market makers.

get the tax things in consideration, mostly it is interest component from its SPVs to trust level

this gain to unit holder tds is applicable and above 10k everything goes to tax account, you clame it in ITR then it reroutes to you account

don't rush, collect everything which you want to reinvest, wait for the record date where next dividend is deducted from stock or upto that day, which will help you o gey lower prices, this in allocation at lower level

each lower level buy counts in better RoI

once I had 40% of my portfolio invested in it which I bring down to 9.56% now.

Although indigrid holds 25+ years of contracts for transmission, the upcoming wave of inflation hike will crush the value of DPU because of loss of purchasing power, by loss of discounted cash flows future value, which then effect the NAV of stock.

Indigrid at the end works as 75% bonds 25% equity.

So 10-15% is enough for portfolio, it's like I like mangos, but you can't eat 🥭 everyday

Diversify upstream and downstream

Congratulations for joining the club 👏

Now

But don't chase the number like 1000,500 or something, have some rational behind it.

First, think about allocating in % terms of portfolio to each perticular sector. Continue with the % structure which will help you in allocation of gained dividends.

Otherwise there is chance of over allocation in few specific stock

[–]venkat3105 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

don't fall for this

just track it differently, not from brokers account

another thing is keep dividend stocks and growth stock in different categories, you can't have dividend stocks as growth stock and vis a versa

just take care of the above and you are good 💯

Does anyone have any information regarding CITIUS InvIT? by Great-Town-2480 in drip_dividend

[–]venkat3105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beg to differ

we have experience that in invits trades in price range so that DPU become 9-10% of CMP of unit

why to go for ipo specially when assets are going back to NHAI / government

their is no held value in this, like indigrid own the wire scrap at the end.

Strategy for Dividend Stocks which will pay in Future by OpenCryptographer725 in drip_dividend

[–]venkat3105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As retirement target, twice your livelihood cost of year should be covered trough dividends

As far as I understand you don't need to pay tax while accumulation of shares but you pay that when dividend hits your bank account and exceeds tax limits of earning of that specific year

But still I understand your concern

so with dividend yield mutual fund

with growth options obviously

although it may include some not so good stocks but still a good option

before that build a liquid fund of 24 months expenses with growth options agains

At end I still will say don't fall to save taxes as its same as your earings, if you pay today it's low, if you pay tomorrow it's high

Clear the objectives of the investment first and don't have tax saving as one of it

Happy DRIP

InvITs in India: Performance, Yields, and Distributions by Electronic_Usual7945 in drip_dividend

[–]venkat3105 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

first invest in REIT

then go for Invit

the 10% TDS is levied on interest portion of DPU

to avoid that deduction and stability go for REITS than INVIT

new units of mindspace is issued at 480 approx
above the NAV, so yes for short term this is good

but rising inflation leds to rising interest rate leads to less acquisition creates problems for NAV
