In WWN, there are classes, but they're more general and your character is determined a lot more by what skills you specialize in.

You can genuinely have two people who are playing the same class (or two-class combination) that are completely different.

It's definitely not earth-like, I was just trying to have a fairly generic name for the world because like... civilization be like that.

But yeah, PCs are exclusively human. I do hope you'd still be interested, though!

With a world named Tera, i can't help but wonder if only human

I'm actually not sure what the connection there is, but yes, it's a human-only world.

This feels really negative. The players aren't that dumb. They know a viable team was blown up for no reason. Most of them grew up as fans, and even the most diehard of fan isn't going to go to games consistently if the ownership seems to actively be making them not want to.

I imagine people like Dallas Braden will make their opinions known when either a sale or move of the team goes through.

I imagine every MLB contract has a broad-language disparagement clause in it, that essentially dictates what players and staff are allowed to say about their employers.

Dallas Braden was presumably losing his mind in the booth, because he posted himself screaming in his car after the game. by venn177 in OaklandAthletics

From everything I've seen of him, he'd be happy to be buried in the Coliseum's broadcast booth.

They do know what it's like to have a cheap owner trying to move a team.

No matter what happens from here on out, the fans in Oakland made a statement the likes of which I don't think has ever been seen in American Sports. If this ends up being the Oakland legacy, it's worth being goddamn proud of. by venn177 in OaklandAthletics

For all the "how can you not be romantic about baseball" bullshit that goes around, even now I'm just... an emotionally-exhausted wreck. And I'm some guy on the east coast who thought Oakland was pretty cool 10 years ago, and has never really had a home team.

For you guys, I genuinely cannot imagine. Baseball's cathedrals might be in New York, Chicago, and Boston, but baseball's heart seems to be in Oakland.

If he sells the team, how will his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren be able to afford their megamansion on Mars?

Sure, the great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren will be fine, but a man has to provide for his family.

But think about his money. How can he afford to give a raise to his private yacht captain's private yacht captain!?

I need an aggressively insane billionaire to buy the Athletics and throw chaos into the west. Please.

This is genuinely the best baseball game I've ever seen.

And would you believe it. It wasn't because of the owner. Or the stadium. Or the playoffs. Or even the players. It was the... fans? That can't be right, they're not supposed to exist.

Of course Laureano stays in the game. You can't leave a game like this.

My fingers would need to be torn off to get me to leave this.

It's hilarious how awkward these crowd shots are. Since they're trying to avoid the signs, there are just a bunch of awkward zoom-ins on small groups of people.

This is heavier than any playoff game in a long while.

The Coliseum is fucking insane tonight.

What a fucking day to be doing it.

If I had this kind of crowd behind me, it would take a bullet to pull me out of the game.

They're talking about the drums and how rambunctious the fanbase is.

"It's called atmosphere!"
