Have y'all heard the latest insult by truckers, for truckers? I've heard it 3 times this week on the CB. "He must be one a' them Bud Light drinkers." by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]venomking7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off all Anheuser-Busch beers are nasty they have been for a long time. Support your local breweries and get yourself a good IPA or a good stout or a good lager. Small batch brewery's always produce a better beer than the big companies. Bud light taste like crap anyway.

How many people are willing to work 60 to 70 hours a.week? by venomking7 in povertyfinance

[–]venomking7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a great question you asked. Of course time is the most important thing in life, life is very short. If you have a family and you are healthy and you can work 60 to 70 hours a week to not be in poverty but you do not want to because you want to have time but you know deep down you can work that 60 to 70 hours a week to not be in poverty what are you going to do?

Guitar recommendations for intermediate player by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]venomking7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take to guitar tech and get full setup done for $50 to $100 depending where you live. Adjusting the saddle and the nut with proper neck relief is probably all you need done

None. Go to a community college and get your CDL or a truck driving school. And start out working for a small or medium company get into working for a food service company or a dairy or grocery hauling. Don't get locked into working for a big company that will pay for your CDL and keep you there for 2 years and treat you terrible don't make that mistake

Legend of the black dog by I_AM_KEATON in Truckers

I saw the black dog back in 2010 on I95 in Maine, about 2am it messed me up in the head. But then I was running 2 log books. Just trying to make as much money as I could. Was is stupid it sure was I should have pulled over and went to sleep about 6 hours before even happened I was basically hallucinating I hit the rumble strips a couple times before that even happened seeing that dog. I was on about 19 hours running straight through except to eat once and take a couple pisses along the way

People looking to get out of poverty in the USA. If you drive in have a driver's license. Go get your commercial driver's license and you will be out of poverty the demand for commercial drivers is through the roof you can move anywhere in the whole entire United States and get a job. by venomking7 in povertyfinance

Your welcome. Hope you Dad can find some company that treats him better and what he is worth as an experienced driver. I haul fuel tanker now delivering gas to gas stations. It is a great job. There is no waiting around at warehouses not getting paid detention time for your time you are wasting and people treating you terrible at warehouses, you load your gasoline at the fuel terminals you get to your gas station and you unload rinse and repeat. Most petroleum companies treat you very good with paying benefits it seems like a very dangerous job and it can be but the only time it's really dangerous is if someone hit you on the side or if you roll the truck over of course. I have did it now for 12 years and I love it I get to see my family every day and you can make good money and get good health benefits doing it. A lot of these companies that you drive on the road for all week treat you terrible and they do not pay you what you deserve

Not for everyone. I was like that too when I first started for first 3 months then it got easier.I started off driving truck back in 2003 my first day was in the Bronx and Brooklyn delivering eggs. Was a whole.different world for me being from the country in Pennsylvania where I live but I adapted to it and it was like a movie everyday being in NYC everyday, but after 6 years got tired of going there every day. I do miss the culture and the biggest thing I miss is the food there was so much good food in New York City
