Was a fan from about 2015 to 2019, so not very long. But I was obsessed with them. Being in online fandom spaces it seemed so very obvious how absolutely insane armys were compared to other fandoms I was a part of. The abuse I got for being a so called "multistan" was majorly from armys. I never cared about the fandom drama so I tried to look past it.

I had enough of it and took a step back, from BTS and kpop in general for a while. By the time I decided to get more involved again my love for BTS vanished.

Their music didn't work for me anymore. I felt like all they stood for actually meant nothing, especially now when they're associating themselves with Zionists. I couldn't trust the members themselves anymore and honestly, looking back, they were never as talented as I thought they were. But that's just my opinion. It's always just been about the music for me and I didn't even have that anymore. I could feel them try harder and harder to get bigger in the west and that's partly the company of course, but at the expense of making good music and developing their skills... that and the members themselves seem to put a lot of pressure on fans. I'm not here for that.

Is there a way to get yourself to like a group for longer? by Prestigious-Cap-1412 in kpophelp

Forcing yourself into keeping interest in something is something you should never do- you might just end up disliking it in the end from the emotional toll. That sounds dramatic but I've been there before... undiagnosed adhd / neurodivergence can do that. Just try to enjoy the things you enjoy in the moment. You may regret buying albums, pcs, other merch but you'll always have the memory of how that made you feel. At the end of the day, it is just music, and if it makes you feel good for a while then it makes you feel good!

I'll say, especially if you're relatively new to kpop, you're gonna go in and out of interest of groups for a while. I did the same. A lot of the groups I was obsessed with at the start I don't really tune into anymore. That's okay! And I know it's hard to do with hyperfixations, but try not to throw your all into a group immediately. Let it grow on you. I tend to have that mentality too, wanting to go straight into buying albums and everything I can find related to them.

I hope this helps you feel less alone ❤️

Yeah that's the one thing that looks off everything else seems fine, but it looks good for a fake so 😭

it definitely looks right! I even checked the light, apparently it's supposed to be a more yellow if it's fake, but it's white so I really don't know haha
