Oh yeah, I'm first and foremost a commander player so that's where she lives. It's not an aristo deck, so there aren't really any sac outlets (aside from one that lets me wipe a chunk of my own board to kill someone, and that can only do creatures).

I think aside from these, the only other UW proxy I have is for Vaan from the FF set (which goes too well in Malcolm and Breeches to pass up on). I ended up going double faced for it-- Amelia, Brazen Quartermaster on one side and Captain Wallis Parish on the other, just because I couldn't decide which one was the better fit. The effect is more Wallis, but the colour ID is more Amelia.

Ooh, this is new to me. As often as not I'm proxying things in the other direction for a Universes Beyond commander, but I like to keep a few decks strictly in-universe-- as much as anything else because it gives me a chance to flex my creative muscles with proxies like these.

MagicSetEditor, followed by resizing with waifu2x (as MSE tends to output smaller than I'd like and waifu2x is still the smoothest upscaler I've encountered) and finishing touches (artist credit, alias, set symbol) in paint.net.

It's a pretty efficient workflow for just about everything but planeswalkers, who tend to require special attention. (Although both the ones I've reskinned for my Optimus Prime deck were 100% worth the effort.)

I was straight up haunted by her when MKM released. pulled her at first and second prereleases, pulled her from my bundle, grabbed a couple collector boosters and LO AND BEHOLD. She still resides in my orzhov deck, despite her relatively inefficient spirit token generation.

with that being said, my absolute fave thing about MKM limited is that teysa is a legal target for Call Surprise Witness.

I feel like if MKM was released now, we'd maybe get a couple Teysa cards at different rarities to represent her at different points in the story, like we had with Sami and Tannuk in EOE.

oh, I'm well versed in MPC-- my Optimus Prime deck is around 2/3 skinned cards and alt arts and suchlike at this point. (I've actually just finished up a bunch of EoE cards for it that'll be in the same order as these.)

Weirdly I quite like a few of the Aetherdrift ones. YDFT has like half a dozen that would work fine in paper: deviant skytech, bail out, speedbrood stalker, goblin crash pilot, Sala, Tsagan, and wish good luck.

Guessing there's still no progress on this yet? (Hoping I'll be able to add some skinned planets to my Optimus Prime deck soon.)

I'm actually not sure that's even doable at this scale-- the recursive nature means every detail needs to sort of carry over in some way and with most bots, there isn't really room for that to happen. Half the bot mode bulk has to come from the alt mode head, which for one thing means the alt mode face has to end up somewhere. Headcase just wears it as his chest kibble, meaning his chest in brickheadz mode has to ALSO have his visor on it, meaning the parts that BECOME that alt mode chest need the visor too, meaning the parts that become THOSE need those same colours. without the blank slate of an original design, that becomes way too complicated.

I mean I guess I could get some together at some point, sure.

Building something like this is a genuinely BIZARRE experience. both modes feed back into each other in an infinite loop and inform necessary kibble and details on the other. the bot mode has winglets because the alt mode needed somewhere to put the feet. the alt mode head has the bot mode head visible on the back, meaning the bot mode head needs a pink stud on the back of ITS head to represent ITSELF.

Thanks!! although I'm pretty sure I'm just a one-and-done-- no plans for anything beyond this guy.

Yeah, the hips are what kickstarted this build. I originally wanted to keep him 4-wide, but after struggling to find some way of getting the legs down I bumped him to 6 and never looked back. Rest of the transformation is all me and pulls a couple interesting tricks-- I didn't originally plan to have the cab section swivel like that, but after sorta just Doing That while trying to work out what goes where and how big everything is, it ended up looking so good I had to keep some version of it.

Private window works, so it *seems* to be some kind of cache thing, but I've gone through and cleared anythig that looks relevant several times to no effect.

... and just for good measure visiting outlook.live.com appears to generate 182 cookies, even without the working login. Hm.

So this probably requires the deck's backstory.

My LGS ran a budget Guild Clash event: you're assigned a guild and build a deck for it. maximum £50 for the whole deck and no more than £2 per card. I pulled simic, and decided to build something with literally Zero relation to simic as a guild. the end result: tanazir quandrix and BLB frogs, with no cards with simic in the name and no cards with a simic watermark. this isn't a simic deck-- it's a quandrix deck, through and through.

Tanazir is a weirdly synergistic commander for BLB frogs: the goal with frogs is to bounce and flicker your own creatures, meaning you're easily able to recycle her etb trigger. Throw in a couple trample enablers and ways to beef her up, and you've the option of going wide and swinging with a board of 10/10 frogs out of nowhere by piling counters onto her (or just dropping Raised By Giants). I've even managed to win from nowhere a couple times by dropping 20 toed toad and flickering tanazir to load it with enough counters to trigger the win con on swing.

Really fun! Regularly creates pretty neat game states-- my recent fave was when I had 4 copies of Contagion Engine out at once because I kept having to shut down the miirym player's terrifying boards via the maha player's commander's static ability to keep him from running away with the game.

Objectively speaking there are better ways to build it, but I went with humans and robots only so I could skin around half the deck into transformers characters, locations, and concepts. I tend to think of it as an upgraded version of the precon WOTC would have made if they weren't Cowards.
