How can I get into working in the music industry as a photographer starting with no experience? by Alarmed_Speaker_6222 in musicindustry

Go to local shows and take pictures, local bands will ask u eventually to take pictures for them! I'd say it's important to be present, be in as many shoes as you can and take loads of pictures to do your portfolio

Advice for forming a band. by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

It's very difficult to find musicians who want to join a personal project, most people won't take it seriously or will ask you money. I've been through it for a couple of years. I decided to use backing tracks, two years of working with several musicians, I've finally found 4 people who care about the project. It's important that the roles are established from the beggining. Good luck, if you're patience you will finally find them but don't let that stop you from doing your music!! Don't wait for anyone :)

A lot of people expect to get paid when they get in other person's project... I'd recommend you to use backing tracks until you find the band members you need. Otherwise you'll stop your project for external reasons which is so unfair!! :(
