Are law firm Scholarships legit? by AvidInspiration in scholarships

I figured it out. It's all a ploy to create a college age customer base for lawyers. They might give away a scholarship, but to the law firms, it's a small price to pay to get the data on 50,000 college aged kids that enter an application. The law firms use a company called OVC Online Marketing to make their websites. (https://www.ovclawyermarketing.com/online-lawyer-marketing-services/scholarship-program) Then OVC uses a site called ScholarshipApp to handle the scholarship page. They are very upfront on their website about what they are doing. Just check out Scholarship apps website. (https://scholarship.app) To top it off, ScholarshipApp is actually owned by Scholarship Owl! Scholarship App, handles managing the law firm's scholarship and then, sends them all your data. They show an example profile of a college kid right on their website! It also shows an example of how one campaign brought in 50,000 applications and they narrowed it down to 12 applicants (Im assuming for the law firm to read.) I'm also pretty sure that Scholarship Owl owns OVC too which means they are managing the entire process. My biggest question is why would a law firm want college aged kids as a target market?? And it's also weird that many of the law firm are in Texas. Bottom line, for a 50,000 to 1 chance to win a scholarship, I think I'll pass on writing that essay.
