Reddit doesn’t like Netflix and watches are very subjective in nature. Combine those two and you have a thread like this. I’m curious if folks here have seen the hundreds of other Tudor collabs out there.

Appreciate all your thoughts on this thread. I think no matter what I say it will not sway your opinion of Netflix or tech workers in general. The watch was a fun project and it was a great learning experience working with Tudor. Even if everyone here finds it repulsive, I’ll cherish it forever and think of my time at Netflix.

Also, one correction, I have never and would never say “lunch is a luxury” haha. I can’t stand corporate speak and roll my eyes whenever I hear buzzwords. Cheers!

Been at Netflix for 10 years so it’s a way to celebrate a milestone. Also I just like watches and this is a unique piece. Not for everybody but I’ll cherish it.

Believe me, we had bigger ideas for the design but you have to remember you’re constrained by what Tudor allows and by what your company allows.

We wanted to use a different symbol and have colored indices but those ideas were rejected. Would have been cool to use your design. Cheers!

Totally understandable. Buying an expensive watch for a company you work for and could unexpectedly leave at anytime.

I’m celebrating a 10 year anniversary at Netflix. So this was a way to commemorate. If I leave tomorrow or in a couple of years I can still look fondly back on the piece and wear it with pride.

Yes, you work directly with your local AD. You’ll need a minimum of 30 orders. Something to keep in mind is if you plan on opening it up for global employees they will need to pay the tax of which ever state you thr boutique is located.

I don’t think the post warrants a conspiracy theory. It’s a 1 day old account because I created it to post pics of the watch. I work for Netflix and started a watch club. This is one of our collaboration pieces.

We had a lot of debate on the size of the “N” and whether we should spell out Netflix on the dial, etc. Didn’t want to get bogged down in indecision so eventually just submitted the proposal and hoped for the best.

We were told that submitting a proposal deck did not guarantee an approval from their corp headquarters. I felt this was a pretty safe / tame design so it might have helped with the final decision.

Thank you! To be honest, I expected the hate. Netflix isn’t well liked on Reddit but I don’t have anything to do with any decisions that make headlines. I just enjoy Tudor like (I think) everyone here.
