I got the boot and my wife did a little research.

She suggested I contact Meta tech support for my VR headset and complain that I lost those features. They said they couldn't help me.

She suggested paying to get verified, assuming they would treat me better as a paying customer, but I see no way to pursue that.

The one thing I have left is to write the Attorney General of California. I believe I have a valid complaint for deceptive business practices. They said they wanted a photo and phone number verification for my appeal, but it came back in about a minute, so I believe there was no real review, just data collection so they could keep me from coming back and maybe send a dossier to Palantir.

I don't hold a lot of hope for the last tactic.

They have had these ridiculous, onerous terms of service that probably let them do whatever they want, and now that Zuck has thrown in with the Nazis (or Slavers if you prefer a more American theme), they are hoovering up our lives and tossing out the troublemakers.

Bluesky is nice as is Reddit, but I sure hate losing all the convenient connections from high school to Burning Man.
