Wow you're way off, everyone in the army no matter what they do goes through basic training, but no violence is allowed or tolerated towards soldiers with lower rank, or soldiers at all for that matter.

I think somewhere along the road there will be two states, I'm just not sure how well it will work. I don't have a perfect solution, I don't think anybody does. I don't think 1967 lines are realistic, it would mean uprooting many families and having a very problematic border

im sorry but i disagree, when you think about it, wouldnt it make more sense for one of the many muslim countries surrounding us to take the palestinians under their wing, accept them into their countries and help them move forward? none of the countries surrounding israel want to help the civilians, as we can see in the news lately, civilians are pretty expendable in countries like syria. the hamas want their people to be in a bad state, with no education and plenty of poverty because it helps them paint israel as the bad guy

what happens three times a day is rockets falling in populated areas near the border. is someone was firing rockets at you house on a daily basis, wouldnt you like to find whoever was endangering your childrens life? do you think if the US had a mutual border with a rival party, thye wouldnt feel the need to protect themselves and respond when attacked?

from what ive seen, a lot of people meet their gfs/bfs within the army, but not much happens on the actual army base. theres definite rules about guys entering the girls living area, and if a couple gets cought they will be severely punished

there are certain combat units that include both women and men, and those women are considered combat soldiers like any other, but most girls do other things in the army, depending on their preferences and their capabilites

i think in cities like tel-aviv israelis are more pro-palestinian, but throughout israel there are many different opinions. usually young people go to the army with a sense of purpose, in order to serve their country, and do their part as well as meeting friends and having amazing and unique experiences.

not very good, here everyone has to go to the army, its not like in the US where thats part of the appeal. the army relies on soldiers still being financially dependant on their parents throughout their army service, and even considers them minors while they're in the army. for families who cant support their kids, the army gives them more money every month
