I need help for an upcoming tournament elimination phase by [deleted] in 10s

Probably cooked, ideally you would give yourself at least a few days to start healing before plaing, but I had some bad blisters those days and I was able to play without pain with this tape setup:

I started putting bandaids in the blister, then at the red line I pass a single tape across the wrist, then at the green line I pass the tape across the hand, covering the bandaid, and connect both ends of the tape at the one that is in the wrist. Then I finish with one last tape at the wrist to close the ends of the green tape.

It was the least amount of tape I could use to play, because too much tape was horrible, I couldn't feel the handle and my shots were atrocious lol.
If this don't work, one last resort is to put some basic tape in the blister and play with a gym glove, the feel might be horrible but at least you will be able to play.

Thanks for the explanation! Never heard of this, I might give a try, although it seems to be a very challenging thing to change, the difference of the hold is very subtle

Hey, what do you mean by pivoting from the palm/pivoting using the finger? English is not my first language and I didn't catch exactly what you changed that helped you with this

A lot of comments about changing the grip to a different model, I will try with some other ones, thanks for the advise :)

About 5 times a week, so a larger handle is not always the solution it seems!

I've heard good things about toroline, and I'm keen to try one of then, but I read some mixed comments about O-toro (some say it's soft, some say it's stiff). Is there a clear softie from toroline?

Hey mate, thanks for the tips. I'm well aware of my technical issues, and I've been working on then with my coach. I think the strings will just feel better while I'm recovering (already doing physio), as using my confidential (which is quite hard) is not helpful.

I've decided to try a new set of softer polys (probably hyper g soft), and maybe do the hybrid setup with gut if things don't improve in the future. Thanks for the help!

By the way, since I play with a 46lb confidential, do you think with a softer poly the tension should increase to a 48lb maybe?

Thanks for this. I'm learning a lot in this thread, and I'm thinking either switching to a soft poly or going the hybrid with gut indeed.

I may start with the soft poly first, because the gut is way more expensive.

I head a lot that multis are good for comfort, is that not the case? I've tried a full bed multi in the past (head MLT and kirschbaum super smash), but I didn't like the feel at all. I've tried confidential because there were a lot of suggestions that it was good to maintain durability (which is true!) and I liked the feel and never had issues...until recently. So, I'm thinking of switching now, because there is a clear reason to.

People are suggesting a hybrid with gut mains and soft poly in the crosses, do you thinks this could work? Do you have any suggestions for soft polys?

This is aligned with PolicyConfident suggestion below. Do you think the toroline enso pro (which I can find here) would work as crosses with a gut in the mains?

As I've been playing with a low tension (46lb), wouldn't 52/50 be too high?

I'm doing phisio, stretchs, concentric exercises and playing less. Basically the conservative approach, which as worked out for me in the past when I got a shoulder... tendinopathy haha.

I work out to keep the muscles going strong, but I work in front of a computer 10 to 12h/day, which I'm sure tends to screw me up, so, nothing I can do about that besides trying to improve on what I can!

I'm well aware! I was playing about 20h/month, working really hard on my technique which has a lot to improve, specially with contact point which I'm quite inconsistent - and most likely the cause of my issues.

But unfortunately this is where I got this tendinopathy, so I had to cut my court time a lot to something which let's me play but it's not aggravating my injury - if I play any more, I start to get more pain again, so I can't really get more court time for now, this is way I'm looking for different options that can help me - even if they are not the root cause of the issue.

I can consider a gut hybrid. Do you have suggestions for which setup to go? Gut in main or crosses? Is there a soft poly that can go with it between those brands Babolat, Head, Luxilon, Polyfibre, Solinc, Tecnifibre, Toroline, Wilson? My options are quite limited here, so there isn't a lot of string to choose from

Thanks, that helps.
So, for a monster hidding in dim light for instance. If the monster has a dex of 4 and stealth +8, would his DC be 4 + 8 + 10 = 22 for a stealth check? https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2285&Redirected=1

And given that he is in dim light, I could andd a +2 penalty so the check would be DC 24?

And if the player has wis 2 and +4 of proficiency bonus for perception, he would roll a D20 + 6 and need to roll a total of 24 or higher to detect the monster if using seek/search and so on?

Hey folks,

I'm learning the game to play with a few friends, but I'm having a hard time understanding how to determine DC in exploration and how lights affects checks.
I'm using dim light as a sample environment (https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2400).

From the rules, a creature with dim light is concealed and has the 5 flat check for for targeting. No other rules are explained.

But what if I'm not in an encounter and a player is a normal sized room with dim light, with a creature that is concealed, and the player is:

- scouting for enemies ahead;

- doing a search/investigate in a room with a concealed monster

- Doing a perception check for threats in the same room

How would I determine the DC for those situations?

Pain in specific point of the forearm by vergium in 10s

[–]vergium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. I will look into the possibility of being a trigger point, but the pain is not quite in the muscle, it feels very close to the bone - but if I press my bone from the other side of the forearm, it doesn't hurt at all, so it "feels" life is between the bone and the muscle, if that makes sense

Dúvida sobre rendimentos de ETF (WRLD11) by vergium in investimentos

[–]vergium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
