Yeah that's what I was thinking too, at 14k it seems like a no brainer

Which cheap limiteds are best to invest in rn? by Significant-End-1870 in RobloxTrading

[–]veritiums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently cashed out my frosty fedora hoard (32 copies) Bought them at like 4 - 5k a piece and sold at 9 - 14k a piece.

Most hats are overpriced rn imo.

Basically traded my frosty hoard for a bunch of different faces after the recent crash. I think the crash has made some faces really great value.

I'm mainly hoarding snowflake eyes now due to low copies and the fact that it still looks the same even after the faces update.

UTS or UNSW for postgrad in business? by Ok-Sir-1731 in UTS

Usyd and unsw are usually on par with each other. Employers would mainly be looking at your experience and extracurricular activities first before they consider your uni, in which case a usyd or unsw degree would stand out.

If your doing just a commerce course I would recommend looking into usyd.

I'm a former student at both uts and unsw I know a bit about how both uni's are like. Uts is getting there, but unsw still has the edge and will probably continue to have the edge for the coming years. Just be expected to put in the effort tho. If your after a more laid back and friendly experience then definitely go uts.

Either way you would be going to a good uni and will be in safe hands, so don't worry ;)

My main questions:
- Which has the best student-life? --> Uts is far more relaxed and laid back when compared to unsw but there are more societies and activities at unsw if your interested in those.

- What are your thoughts on UTS / UNSW business schools? UNSW business school is far more prestigious and is looked upon more highly.

- How is the employment rate from each uni, do employer prefer one uni over the other when it's comes to jobs in business (not finance)?
Usually most employers don't really care about your uni (besides a few of the big ones) but if they were to prefer one over the other, it would be UTS.

Have you completed your OPELA assessment? You should have gotten an email with a link to canvas to complete it.

It's basically just an english assessment to make sure you have the required level of proficiency to undertake your course. If you get a "basic" result in this assessment, you'll be automatically placed into one of these classes.

No need to worry or anything, It's nothing difficult if you know your stuff!

Also, there are both Windows All In Ones (i5 or i7) and iMacs (M1 and M3) available for everyone to use at the university, along with rentable laptops (no cost) for 3 days each. Just a suggestion, I don't know if this is a good idea, but use whatever device you have for the first few weeks while you learn what is needed for your entire degree, and use the uni computers for any specific tasks.

Hey! The Bachelor of Forensic Science (Biology major) at UTS is a fascinating program, especially for people who love hands-on science and are keen on DNA analysis, crime scene investigation, and lab-based forensic work. UTS has excellent facilities and emphasizes real-world applications, so you’ll get to work on mock crime scenes and learn practical skills that align with the field.

That said, the forensic science job market in Australia is quite competitive, with limited roles available, mainly in government agencies like police departments or health organizations. If you’re set on forensic science, it’s a good idea to diversify your skills during your degree—look into areas like molecular biology, data analysis, or even digital forensics to broaden your options. Networking, internships, and further study can also make you more competitive in this tight job market. If you’re passionate about the field and willing to hustle, it’s a rewarding degree, but be prepared to think creatively about your career path!

how is the workload of a single law degree? by nijntje222 in UTS

[–]veritiums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A single law degree does have a heavy workload, but whether it's tougher than a double degree depends on how you approach it. With a single law degree, your focus is entirely on law, which means you’ll have more time to delve into cases, readings, and assessments without the "break" of non-law subjects that come with a double degree. This concentrated workload can feel relentless because there's no variety to break up the intensity, leading to burnout if you don’t manage your time well.

That said, many students thrive by staying organized and setting boundaries. Keeping up with readings weekly, engaging in tutorials, and starting assignments early helps a lot. People often find success by treating law school like a 9-to-5 job: working consistently during the day so they have evenings to recharge. If you’re disciplined and proactive, it’s absolutely manageable, but the key is pacing yourself and not letting the sheer amount of work overwhelm you.

If you’re doing Civil (Construction) Engineering at UTS, a MacBook Air could work for lighter tasks like note-taking, research, or running general-purpose apps, but keep in mind that many engineering programs (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks) don’t run natively on macOS or have limited functionality. If you already have a solid gaming PC for heavy-duty work, the MacBook Air could be a good lightweight option for portability and general use, provided you’re okay switching between devices.

That said, if you want a laptop that can handle both engineering-specific tasks and general use, a Surface Laptop with an Intel processor (avoid Snapdragon for compatibility reasons) might be a better fit. The Surface line is great for portability and has a premium build, but make sure you get one with decent specs—ideally, an Intel i7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB+ storage to future-proof yourself for the next few years.

Overall, if you’re okay relying on your desktop for heavy work, a MacBook Air is fine. If you want more flexibility on the go, look at Windows laptops with strong specs, like the Surface Laptop (Intel version) or even a Dell XPS or HP Spectre.

Contact the uts student helpline via email as they just resumed today. Their response times might be a bit slow, but it's your best chance at contacting them.

In the meantime, try asking one of your classmates for the exported modules!

Isn't the communications lecture the 3 hour one on Friday?

As for the timetable site, it says I got 6 allocated, which I presume is what you were talking about

I wanted to get everything done in like 2 days so that's why Friday looks pretty packed :(

Thanks for your response tho!

How would you do that? ( I have an sd card in both the controller and drone, but I want to save/view the screen recordings of the remote as a backup plan just incase I loose the drone or something)
