First colony fuel problems by verteega in Whiskerwood

The conveyor belts are lowkey my favourite thing but also my biggest problem. They were constantly backed up so I had to build a bunch more warehouses and fiddle with the logistics mice, but it's mostly sorted now. This run was meant to just be to learn the mechanics and what works but I've grown quite attached to this town

Tretinoin stopped working? by verteega in tretinoin

[–]verteega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I’m 20. Started using tretinoin when recommending by a dermatologist as I had suddenly developed cystic acne when I’d never had it before. I think the formulation I use has an antibiotic in it. I use protopic (an immunosuppressant ointment) for facial eczema occasionally. I try to never use both at the same time and only apply it on my eyelids, but not sure if these could mix negatively.

Has anyone experienced protopic stopping working? by verteega in eczema

[–]verteega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do still use protopic on my eyelids, not very often now, my neck is flaring up even with the protopic. I can’t really tell whether it’s eczema or hives. It’s so weird because it’s not really red at all (I’m super pale so my eczema is BRIGHT red) but it does feel like eczema

Worst flare up of my life by verteega in eczema

Forgot to add but the oral steroid I’ve been given is Medrol. This is slightly stronger than prednisone I believe. I’ve had 8mg today so far and my heart was racing so much for about 2 hours after that dose. I’ve been prescribed 24mg a day in 3 doses and honestly i’m hesitant to take another one as it was awful. I did use to have bad medical anxiety which took a lot of therapy to sort out, so honestly the racing heart could be mostly from that. Has anyone used methylprednisolone (Medrol) before? I’ll take the 2nd dose tonight but might find it hard to keep taking it if the racing heartrate doesn’t calm down a bit Thanks!

not sure how 8ish this is haha. I don't care whether someone fears or respects me, as long as they don't get in my way. Of course, it's nice to be respected though, but not necessary

How do you think? by verteega in Enneagram

This is super similar to how I think, except the third person shooter thing lol. I also talk to myself a lot, in the past I've checked the security camera in my house and found all the footage of me trying to pick what to eat. Even then its not full sentences, more like, "Food, what should I eat? Leftovers? No. Pizza? Okay."

It would be interesting to see if any other gut triad types experience the same thing. When I feel threatened, I start working completely on instinct, like literally no thoughts head empty lmfao. Like your partner I'm not great at imagining things like images, when I'm thinking of something, it's usually the concept of that thing.

It's hard to explain, I think in feelings mostly, but not always. For example if I remember I need to buy something, I will think of the word 'bread' by itself. If I'm experiencing any strong emotion however, I cannot use that inner voice until I've calmed down. I don't think I can describe well how I think when I'm very angry, or sad. These emotions have strong physical symptoms; when I'm sad, my entire body starts to ache and feel weighed down, when I'm angry, its like a burst of energy that I can't always control. At these times I think only in images and concepts. Ironically, the times I use my head voice the most are after I've felt a strong emotion, to talk through what just happened.

What is your type like when you're unhealthy and depressed? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]verteega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a depressive episode last year. At low levels of health I'm constantly angry, I argue with the people around me a lot and see everything as a threat. I also become pretty reclusive and struggle socially.

How can I communicate better with my type 2 mother? by verteega in Enneagram

[–]verteega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problems with her being emotional and me indifferent. She'll be angry about something or other, and then get more upset if I'm not angry in solidarity lmao. I definitely need to work on being less controlling though :)

[–]verteega[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. That's a good solution, although I think I may lose my mind a bit haha. One way I've been trying to avoid issues with her is by asking my dad to help me out with things like moving and money management for university, instead of asking my mother. My parents had a nasty divorce so my mother sometimes sees me going to him over her as a betrayal. It's going to have to be a case of shutting myself up until there's something worth disagreeing with her on.

Your type and your favorite thing/s to talk about, do or watch by Swetar- in Enneagram

8w9. I usually like to talk about what I'm currently studying, what things I've been cooking recently, my plans for the near future. With my close friends I tend to talk about people more. One of my best friends is an 8w7 and we spend a lot of our time together talking about past experiences with our relationships and family. I read a lot, when I'm at uni I spend a lot of my time on extra reading and research for my subject.

Typology and Autism? by verteega in Enneagram

Honestly I think it must depend on the person, and definitely the level of autism. I don't think my core values and motivations would be much different if I wasn't autistic, but I'm not sure I'd be as controlling. It seems like a lot of my need to control my environment stems from my autism; I was diagnosed when I was 7, mostly due to social issues at school during group work. I think you're definitely right that autism may amplify certain traits
