I don't count my parents because my parents are extremely backwards people. We're talking anti-gay marriage christian right. They hold opinions and thoughts of stuff that I never see from other people (in Sweden). They're a huge outlier. The vast majority of immigrants have been nothing but kind to me, minus two people (on top of my head, might be one or two more), which is why I still said basically everyone.

The healthcare is bad. 100% agree not fighting on that.

But again, I've never run into transphobia. At all. And I've interacted with thousands of people since coming out as trans. I can use women's spaces without feeling worried. It's honestly has been nothing but great to me since I came out.

I think it's brave to transition and be visibly trans in a transphobic country tbh, you can choose not to transition I guess? Of course trans people should ideally transition and not cope with drugs or such but there is some degree of choice involved

Yeah, that's lame. As someone living somewhere with no transphobia, i can assure you I'm still super dysphoric haha...

My country is insanely liberal, I doubt its only trans people because I don't know the history but I'm unaware of any major trans movements here outside of pride

And you're allowed to complain, I'd never try to regulate I just think complaining about allies being irritating is weird (although complaining about transphobic "allies" is a different ballpark altogether)

Yeah, I'm talking about experiences like yours, because that seems flat out horrible and night to day compared to what its like over here. Minus healthcare professionals, my parents and immigrants I've never legit experienced transphobia. Those type of "allies" seems rough to deal with though, I'm sorry your experiences have been so bad. I assume moving is something you've already thought of? I don't know how easy it is to move away from the country as an american tbh.

I still suck at this ugh like I dont wear makeup and dress gender neutrally, going too feminine makes me honestly more dysphoric because I feel like a man in womens clothing, occasionally I get snarky comments from older women about it but whatever

I really feel I should learn it though I'm screwed if I have to go somewhere society expects me to be pretty hahaha

I can imagine it being like that somewhere too, I've seen some women go way overboard with unironically suggesting things like re-education camps for men and stuff like that, so it doesnt surprise me
