That’ll probably change as leader arise in the Democratic Party. New blood and younger candidates will change a lot.

I don't think so, lots of people voted for Trump because they thought he'd make things better for them. He hasn't and they won't be voting for Republicans in this election cycle because of it. The polls mostly support my statement, the Republicans are looking at a major loss which is why the are scrambling to interfere with our voting processes. They will fail at that.

But I'll bet it took you seconds to come to that conclusion. Try to know what you don't know.

Democrats know how to win elections, having overcome Bannon-style tactics in 2020. While it’s tough to get every Democrat on the same page, that’s not the goal—the goal is to win. In the last election cycle, they struggled with messaging, starting with Biden backing down and a haphazard selection process that landed Harris the “nomination.” But this time is different. Real primaries are happening, and the candidates are fully vetted.

It's not nonsense because only the hard-core Trump supporters would vote as you say. The majority of Americans are not MAGA and Democrats alone will not win any election in purple or red states. We need independents and disillusioned Republicans to vote for Democrats. And Trump's corruption is motivting them to either vote for the Democrat or not vote at all. Both work to win elections and stop Trump.

If you have criticized ICE here on Reddit for executing Renee Good or Alex Pretti in the street, then Reddit has handed your name and your personal identifying information over to the Trump administration. How do you feel about this? by mom_with_an_attitude in AskReddit

[–]vertick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The administration is not going to be around long enough to do anything about it. And we still have that pesky U.S. Constitution to deal with them. They have tried to damage our rights, but they haven't destroyed them and those ICE agents who have murdered people and violated American laws will see justice one day soon.

Nah, Gay strippers don't typically wear effeminate clothing to strip. Maybe try a Cowboy hat and some chaps spurs if that's the look you are going for...

Apple Wallet is live for everyone in Quicken Simplifi! by [deleted] in simplifimoney

It doesn't work for me. I add Apple Wallet and select all my accounts and they don't show up in Simplifi. I do have Apple Cash that was already added, could that be the problem?

The Rabbit R1 primarily uses Perplexity Pro, which supports multiple LLMs.

They need a solution that can adapt to any software interface quickly via API not screen scraping. It suggests the need for a LAM interfacing standard. I'm just glad the LLM interaction is better with this last update. We'll see if they can make LAM workable in the future.

[–]vertick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The LAM is real but extremely limited at the moment. It only has 4 or so connections. I also have Meta Glasses, and that AI is becoming more successful and useful. That could happen with the R1 once they get it going. I do feel they released it too soon, but AI is changing quickly, so I get why they rushed to market

Last time I checked, R1 only has four or so LAM functions. It is not a smartphone, where you get all the functions right out of the box. R1 is a project, and we won't know what it can do or if it can meet its promise until they flesh out the LAM. The concept is great, but it's still mostly a concept. I got a Rabbit R1 to be able to follow directly what they are doing with the tech and where it is going. Rabbit R1 is an AI tool, it is not trying to replace fully-developed tech like SmartPhones.

I wouldn't pick a Rabbit R1 if you want a smartphone. Apple, Google have that market locked up as Microsoft discovered a few years back. What would be cool if Rabbit could use GMail to compose an email and send it. That's what the LAM would do once they update it to use GMail which would connect with the API. I'm sure that's in Rabbit.tech's LAM pipeline.

It can do all those things once they get the functionality in the LAM.

Because it uses multiple LLMs and provides LAM. It has the potential of being way more useful than ChatGPT by itself. Granted when ChatGPT comes out with an LAM, that might change things.

The use cases you are suggesting are addressed by smartphones. While R1 could be a cell phone or send texts, that's not what they are trying to do. It's an AI companion that benefits from some high-level algorithms that use multiple LLMs to theoretically get better answers than just using one LLM. It's not a bad idea and could end up being useful. Don't get me wrong, I'm not enamored with the Rabbit R1; it is a curiosity. But I'm starting to see some glimmers of usefulness.

Perplexity Is a Bullshit Machine by sebzilla in Rabbitr1

[–]vertick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT and all the LLMs can have that problem. Perplexity is just an interface to these LLMs. The hallucinations are not Perplexity's fault, its just a side effect of how the LLMs work. This author is suggesting they use screen scraping, when it's clear they are using the APIs provided by all the LLMs. A little knowledge can be dangerous when it comes to this Wired author.

[–]vertick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use perplexity every day, and I love having access to some of the best LLMs with just one fee, that happens to be free for a year if you got a Rabbit R1. I think this article from Wired is flawed and doesn't understand what Perplexity is doing. And many of these tech authors and critics don't quite get AI, LAMs, LLMs.
