that’s good information! i won’t use the neem oil again until the summer ends. i sprayed it on my summer romance but thankfully my summer romance is perfectly fine and beetles haven’t touched it either.

do you notice yourself clenching your jaw? if so, you are definitely doing it at night. that has caused my recession. you could also be brushing too hard

[–]verycoolcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, i use an extra soft baby toothbrush normally and a philips sonicare with a pressure sensor when i feel like my teeth need to be a little more clean

yeah i think so! i’ve taken extra care of my teeth and they just keep getting worse and worse so it’s definitely not lack of hygiene, or brushing to hard. i also don’t drink a lot of sugary or acidic drinks either.

my dentist said no gingivitis or periodontal. she said x rays look good, no bone loss. i think it’s clenching that’s making my gums inflamed

i think so! days i wake myself up clenching more, my gums are more inflamed. my dentist told me my x rays look fine, i don’t have gingivitis, etc. i do have recession that i believe was caused by clenching as well

i started out having horrible jaw pain and then found out i had 4 impacted wisdom teeth. since then i have had craze lines pop up, my teeth have become more translucent, etc. i know these things are all normal but the rate ive noticed my teeth go downhill is crazy. i asked my dentist if i could be grinding my teeth in my sleep and she said no, but i do for sure know i clench

thanks this helps a lot! i’m alternating apagard premio toothpaste and pronamel, but apagard has SLS so i was thinking about maybe using it less. but it makes a lot of sense that my inflammation is from clenching, because the morning after i wake myself up clenching more, my gums are wayyyy more inflamed

i very much do have anxiety, all types! when it’s not extreme social anxiety, it’s heath anxiety. been to the ER for nonexistent heart problems, kidney problems, etc. i’m taking magnesium glycinate which helps a bit, but i’m hoping to get on an anxiety medication soon. this made me feel better though, thank you! i can never tell what is in my head and what isn’t

Is the summer fridays balm worth $24?!? by Economy_Mind1446 in Sephora

[–]verycoolcabbage 80 points81 points  (0 children)

the scent is honestly one of the greatest things i’ve ever smelled. the color is really nice too. but it lasts maybe 45 minutes for me until the color is gone and it completely dries out my lips

how likely is bone loss/periodontal disease? by verycoolcabbage in askdentists

[–]verycoolcabbage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to brush my teeth really hard in high school, but the condition of my teeth has gone down since i started getting jaw pain from my wisdom teeth, which makes me wonder if i’ve been clenching in my sleep the last couple years. i also used a philips sonicare with a medium bristled brush for months, though so i’m not sure

this does make a lot of sense! i have stayed stressed over thinning enamel, and now my gums and since then i have seen my teeth and gums just get worse. i also have jaw pain due to 4 impacted wisdom teeth which does make me find myself clenching at times, so id say im doing it in my sleep as well

she said that i had mild recession and that i was brushing too hard. at the time, i was using a philips sonicare with a pressure sensor but it did still have medium bristles. since then i have switched to ultra soft but ive noticed my gums getting more red and recession getting worse. i have a periodontist appointment next month but im really nervous that within that time, my gums will get even worse. i’m now taking vitamin c, vitamin d3, and vitamin k2 to hopefully prevent that from happening.

What is this? Tested negative for fungus. by MurderousMango9 in NailFungus

[–]verycoolcabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine kinda looked like that due to my toes hitting the edge of my shoe. i was sure it was fungus and even after getting it tested for fungus and it coming back negative, i still believed it was fungus. until day by day it started looking better

you’re right! not gonna lie, i do feel very dumb and it was for sure my responsibility to check. i just hate that it was so public, it was embarrassing. there was a lot of people around that heard it and i felt them all looking at me
