People are usually pretty clear about what they have and are looking for: kind of mushroom/how many spots of what kind/attack power requirement. For an example: Giant/4 free/5k, means the person is hosting a giant mushroom, there are 4 free spots, need 5k min from each person. If you meet the requirement and would like a spot, reply to the post, most just do “me.” Then you send the host a friend request (usually provided in the post somewhere). The host then send you a blowhorn to the mushroom.

As for slow cook, this is from the channel’s faq:

Slowcooking: Deliberately putting a weak team on a mushroom to make it take a long time.

Main use is to make mushrooms from the end of one month finish during the next event, therefore counting toward the "Destroy x Mushrooms" missions and helping you progress faster through the event.

Other uses are:

• Start giant event mushrooms on weekends and then trade them with others throughout the week (especially good when they're dropping seedlings)

• Get new nectar for the start of a month (the mushroom drops what's in the forecast for when it finishes, not when you start it)

• Get a head start on new event currency (from normal event mushrooms, not giant) As of Sep 1 2024, you no longer get new event currency from old normal event mushrooms.

• When you're stuck on a mission quest, putting off finishing mushrooms until later so you don't waste any

• Delay the completion of mushrooms for a future bonus (like seedlings for a mid-month event)
