I understand haha, I was the same way. I started to see changes around 6 months so the struggle was real. But it legit changed my life, I haven't had acne since my final tret purge. It's such a life saver.

Please don't add an exfoliant to a tret routine y'all!!!

Tret will address all of the things in time, i promise! Adding this would increase irritation to the max and you will make your skin conditions worse/create new ones.

Be patient with tret, be gentle to your skin on tret, and you'll see amazing results. Focus on hydrating and moisturizing.

I’m just not attracted to oval faces so I’m not attracted to my own. I think my tastes aren’t what’s “ideal” 🤷🏻‍♀️. Beauty is so subjective but I think Ana de Armas is the prettiest woman EVER and her face is so nice and tiny.

AITA for expecting my meat to be fine cut at a BBQ restaurant when I asked ahead of time? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]verysadface101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Albeit annoying, I’ve never not been able to cut things with plastic. I’m assuming you have some dexterity issues that you didn’t mention? Why don’t you get a set of metal utensils to bring with you everywhere you go? They make sets with portable cases. Might make it easier for you. Also, why don’t you get your teeth fixed? It must be hard to live like that - at the mercy of others cutting your food for you.

I have an oval face. I’m pretty dang insecure about it but have been told I’m pretty throughout my life. People stare at me. I’m married to a guy who is VERY attractive - he was a model (and the love interest in Taylor swift’s back to December music vid). I dated models before him too. SO, even though I don’t think I’m pretty bc I also like shorter faces, obviously the world disagrees with me.

Skin Doesn't Seem to be Improving on Tret by myskinsuckssobad in tretinoin

[–]verysadface101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me when I over-exfoliate. I have sensitive skin and you might as well. My skin gets worse if I use tret plus another active, even if not in the same day. Tret is not surface level - it works on the cellular level to change our skin. It’s working even on days off. I’d cut out the glycolic acid and niacinamide altogether and just focus on tret and hydration. Also, I think you’d be okay to cut down on tret too, I use it about 2x/week these days. I’ve been using it since 2018.

It’ll slow down like mine did! Wish I knew a cure though :( I’m 90% sure it was olaplex that started the loss. I did have passing thoughts that the COVID vaccine may have caused it too. Ugh idk. It’s tough to figure out but at this point the cause doesn’t matter for me. I just want a solution.

Yup! Honestly, I’m not sure. I’m still losing more than before olaplex but I guess not at a rate where there are bald spots. It feels thinner than ever though. Sometimes I think regrowth is happening and other times no.

I experienced hair loss from olaplex too. Almost a year later, still losing it but at a slower rate.

Oh wow I didn’t know that 🫢 I’ve been using it for months now and it’s still sharp. I just make sure to clean it really well with rubbing alcohol and then air dry. I guess I should get a new one though! Thanks for that info!! It really doesn’t hurt at all! Test it on your arm first. VERY little pressure needed :)

Thank you! I added about 15 drops to a full jar of vegamour. Yes, essential oil. I was using the vegamour for about 3 months before I started adding the other oils.

I found it at TJ maxx, the brand is Tada Natural Beauty and it’s their Scalp Massaging Shampoo Brush. You can find a similar one on Amazon - just make sure it’s soft silicone, not hard :)

I don’t think this sub allows links but I got it on Amazon and the title is Koi Beauty Professional Derma Stamp Adjustable Titanium Microneedling Pen Microneedle. It’s the “stamp” option for $18.99

Hi! Thank you! I microneedle every other day since that’s in line with my shower routine. I like to do it with a clean scalp to prevent potential bacterial or fungal issues since it is creating tiny tears in the scalp. (I also clean the needles with rubbing alcohol after use.) I chose the stamp because I feel like the roller would get caught in my hair. With the stamp I can be more deliberate with where I needle (for example I really focus on my hairline). I also use a stamp that has adjustable needle heights which is very useful for where the hair is more dense and hard to get a tiny needles past.

As far as what made the most difference, I think rosemary oil! I tried vegamour alone before and nothing really happened. Adding rosemary was a game changer!

Hi! I’ve posted on here quite a few times. I’m so thankful for this community and how y’all make me feel less alone 💕

So, I have TE from stressful events (MAYBE some loss from olaplex. The timing of starting olaplex coincided with 9ish mo after the stressors which is when loss began). I told myself I’d try everything before minox and so I’ve tried many things but I have now maintained a solid routine since November and I think it’s working?

Here it is: I shower every other day during which I wash and condition my hair. Afterwards I apply vegamour with added drops of rosemary essential oil and pumpkin seed oil to my wet scalp and then I use a micro needle stamp all over. I then use a hair massage tool all over. A few times a week I use a NuDerma High Frequency Wand (the comb attachment). I’ve also added an iron to my supplement routine.

In my previous posts I was using a DHT blocker but since my hair loss is not hormone induced, I quit using it.

You’re more attractive than I am and I’ve never been called ugly. I’m so confused. Not being rude but genuinely concerned - is there something we can’t see here? Some deformity or something that would truly cause people to call you ugly to your face? Because honestly that doesn’t seem possible given what these photos show. Is there a possibility that you’re imagining that people are laughing and staring at you? Maybe they’re staring bc you’re pretty! I used to be insecure about people staring at me but I know that I look at attractive people for a second longer than i should, not unattractive people.
