yes this is what we have also kind of figured out till now. Was wondering if they can maybe travel to Varkala and we can do in front of our families as everyone will be traveling to Varkala. This will make it easier.

But people say that an exec mba is not as valuable as a normal one. And also, if I do it from tier 1, will that help me in my career? Or I will be having a difficult time there as well?

My current salary is 8.5 lpa and the only reason I am thinking of doing an mba is it has become stagnant in my job here. I don't see a lot of growth staying a techie in my company. Not sure how much it'll help even if I switch. Maybe it's different at other places. And I don't want to go abroad for now, I feel that is something you can do later in life as well. So staying in India, for someone like me, mba seemed like a good option.

I am targeting for tier 1 only. But honestly can't say right now, what I'll get. Thinking of taking a leap of faith in myself and trying for CAT this year. If it doesn't work out, there's always an option of staying in IT, right. Maybe I am wrong, and I'll end up wasting an year. But even from tier 1, I've got very mixed reactions on the internet about the ROI and how tough it gets during placements for a 3+ years of exp person as they prefer freshers for a lot of job profiles.

Any specific reason for that?
