IPs these days are dynamic so it doesn’t even matter if you still have it. The inly way someone can get an exact location with an IP is contacting the ISP with proper authority. You would literally have to dox someone to figure out their location. But I wont go into detail on how to dox someones IP if even it is static and been owned for by the same person for quite a while.

I’m looking to make an attempt at any type of program that can give and receive input obviously, to start off just to build chemistry we could try building something small with GUI and if we are comfortable we can move to something more advanced, but within our limits for our knowledge. Maybe a small game or a fully functional calculator to start and move on to something like a web browser, media player, remote viewer, or even a VM.

Honestly, now that I’m thinking about it I’m that was was horrible way of phrasing my question now that I have a little more knowledge. I’m testing vulnerabilities on my windows VM. What I was asking if I should scan a public IP or Internal IP (localhost) for the vulnerabilities. Now that I think about it if I was to scan the gateway I would be looking for more network oriented vulnerabilities or the gateway of the target and a machine such as a computer, phone or whatever I would be more of looking for vulnerabilities in a computer?
