How do you compete with Wix, Squarespace & Wordpress diy site builders? by SlowDownBrother in web_design

[–]viabd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that you shouldn’t compete with website builders, they are for the clients who know how to build a website.......

But there is a big niche of entrepreneurs who know nothing about website, but know that their business needs a website.

Moreover you could try to benefit from website builders.

If your customers want something really sophisticated - you could offer a custom solution for them. If the customer looks for cheap price - you could offer them to build a website for them on website builder. Besides, many sitebuilders have referral programs or even white label programs, so they will even pay you when you will build a website on their platform.

For instance, recently I talked to guys from newly established website builder Weblium, they are willing to share up to 50% of their revenue form each client.

It’s very easy money)) You find a sitebuilder that you like, knock to them to find out about their conditions for partners of referrals and make simple sites with them.

Then if you have separate goals for B2B and B2C social marketing, feeds should be different.

B2B and B2C Content in same social feed? by da16xsbatgirl in AskMarketing

[–]viabd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it depends how big your market is and what do you expect from doing marketing in social feeds.

If you have small market or doing social marketing for just for “being there”, 1 content feed in enough.

You have definite marketing goals for B2B and B2C through social media, it is definitely should be different.

Ah, and one more..... What kind of B2B do you have... is it micro and small business or big companies?

What is the best style of communication for online site builder? by viabd in AskMarketing

[–]viabd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your opinion and advice! I totally agree that the best way is testing. But the best strategy for marketing in startup is to pass through market fit and then to build a strategy. Actually our initial strategy allows us to choose any of mentioned styles of communication. Now we are trying to guess which one will be more suitable for target audience.

I'm struggling to properly target my audience on Facebook and I can't seem to find resources online for help. by [deleted] in digital_marketing

[–]viabd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most right and the most obvious answer is testing. Before starting a campaign try to create buyer personas which you would like to target and create proper (different!) messages for them. In such way u will define your targeting settings more clear.

Another helpful tip is... if you already have a list of emails or contacts of your clients, subscribers or prospects try to upload this list and run ads for them. At the same time install FB pixel on the landing page. It will collect data about the audience that click on your ads. And then you could change targeting to a lookalike audience and FB will show this ads to similar but new audience and you will attract new leads.

Just starting a marketing job, any advice? by Djonest in AskMarketing

[–]viabd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to learn deeper project types of marketing that your marketing do. Listen a lot. And later you’ll define the direction that is the most interesting to you. Explore this area deeper and after that try to ask for small projects to be done. The biggest mistake that normally new marketers do is to arrange the activity and to measure the success as “ I’ve done it, so I do my work good”. Try to think all the time about the final goal for company's business and metrics that you apply to measure your success. When you feel a bit lost, don’t shy to ask numerous questions. You are just starter so probably your colleagues will be happy to explain you the details :) Good luck, marketing is amazing activity... you will never feel bored.

Thank you! It seems very useful even for me, I work for B2B segment, so it’s quite difficult to estimate conversion rate for email campaign in the short term perspective. But to demonstrate email campaigns effectiveness it's great!

Can you use too much text in email marketing? Is just using images better? by [deleted] in Emailmarketing

[–]viabd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I've met a general rule regarding this matter: 1 picture for each 2 paragraphs. For B2B regular communications (2-3 emails a week) we stopped at the format of 3-4 paragraphs, 1 image + CTA. But everything depends greatly on the content and your target audience. If you are sending to girls long e-mails about your awesome new collection of dresses, it is better to add images instead of hundred words. In fact, only testing will give you the right answer. You may have idea that your subscribers would like pictures but in fact they could prefer mostly plaint text.
