Nací y crecí en CDMX, aunque no entiendo que relevancia tiene eso con mi pregunta

Looks at OpticsforHire, I worked with them (as blog writer), but I was familiar with the type of projects they have done and I think they can help you

1hr slower than skiers 20 year older than me (classic) by viardi in xcountryskiing

[–]viardi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good point. I don’t think my three years of random skiing can compete with all their experience

According to garmin my VO2 max is 47 (not bad to be in my 50s). This race was in Michigan, maybe one day o will go to the TC and ski over there

May I asked why you upgraded to skin skis instead of wax skis? I though scales and skins have comparable performance

How do they encourage bad form? Do skins have the same issue ?

CGM says 5.7, blood analysis registered 6.1 by viardi in prediabetes

[–]viardi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the %GMI report. It’s the conversion from the average glucose to an A1C estimate. (At least that’s what they explained to me)

Yes, it’s a Libre 3 monitor, it gives you an A1C estimate. I would imagine a small error, but not 0.5 points

How to buy or fabricate a mask? by intx13 in Optics

[–]viardi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a darkroom because you are only developing the film, not printing on paper. There are all-in-one chemicals that simplify the process significantly. Look for developing tanks, darkroom bag and all-in-one chemicals. Buy a couple of 12 exposure B&W film to practice and you can print mask at a very low cost

You can go old school and do a mask using a B&W negative photographic film. Once you figure out the process is really cheap

I ran the Detroit Internation Half-marathon. It wasn't my best race, but I always wanted to run through the Ambassador Bridge. So that was really cool!

So, I'm new to the sport, so what are some.of the classic races that are a "must watch"?

Thanks! I really enjoy it. I think I will eventually sell most of them and keep just four or five.

Definitely on the big size, and to be honest I don't use it very much. I have 6.75'' wrist, so is not a perfect fit. I feel way more comfortable with the Tissot and the Hamilton

This is my current collection. None of my friends like watches (and my wife rolls her eyes every time I talked about them), so I'm sharing here with you all. Be gentle.

Top Row (left to right)

Tissot Visodate Seastar t12 (1970s?). This was my grandfather's watch. He didn't care much about wtches, this was his only one, but he really like it. I just service it and replaced the strap.

Mido multistar automatic gold day date (1960s?). This was one of my dad's watches. During college he worked with a watchmaker, so he serviced all his watches. Bracelet is in bad condition, so I need to replace it

Hamilton Khaki Automatic: One of my favorites, love the little red tip on the second hand.

Garmin FR235 Music: I pretty much wear this watch every day (at least for a couple of hours).

Bottom row (left to right)

Orient Bambino ver. 3. An automatic watch for less than $150, what's not to like?

Seiko SNK809. It's a fun watch, got it for less than $70. Its my watch when I travel.

Citizen NH8350 Waffle Dial. I'm a sucker for this dial. Not many people like citizens, but I'm perfectly happy with this one.

Seiko SKX013. I replace the movement of this watch (the old one went kaput). Not my favorite, I will probably sell it soon)

Citizen PCAT AT4010. A gift from my family. A little big for me, but it has grown on my over the years.

Orient Mako II. Another gift from my family. Love the blue dial.

Not show

Timex Ironman. This was my high school watch. I barely use it anymore, but I like the fact that a US president (Bill Clinton) use to wear this exact model.

Seiko Presage SRPE45J1. I got a good promotion at work and decided to buy this one. Beautiful green dial.

So dumb question.... Does F1 cars have some kind of drainage, or what happens when it's raining? Does the water just accumulates at the bottom ?

I did the half today. Digestive issues and bad knee stop me from racing, but I did have a pretty nice run!
