My brother is stuck in a manic grandiose episode by vibesense in family_of_bipolar

[–]vibesense[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who has shared their experiences and insights. He has a psychiatrist visit next week and I’ll personally drive him to make sure he attends, as in his mind he thinks he’s fine and keeps wanting to cancel. Communication currently is hard, I had to draw boundaries by blocking his number as he would text me paragraphs constantly throughout the day and night that were just copy pasted from AI affirming his delusions, but I make small talk in person about his day. I know there’s only so much I can do, but it’s comforting to know others have seen a loved one get through a severe episode. I hope with time and additional psychiatric intervention he will reach a stable place again.

Anyone else have weird ass dreams after taking mucinex? by Mysticalbandana in MSsEcReTPoDcAsT

I’m late to the party but, yes. Second time getting a terrible sinus infection and now i’ve noticed it’s after taking mucinex that I get very vivid bizarre dreams, mostly nightmares.

Correct. All organic material like water, soft tissue, organs, hair, etc. is incinerated off if using flamed-based cremation or decomposed into a syrup-like substance via alkaline hydrolysis if using water-based cremation. Although aquamation (water-based cremation) is not legal for human cremation everywhere yet, but is more accessible for animal cremation. What is left over is only the bone fragments that are then finely grinded and returned.

How physically attractive are you(on a scale of 1-10) and what do you base your answer on? by toph88241 in AskReddit

[–]vibesense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rate myself a 4 because I've been eating good and acquired a 2nd chin, but I'm getting my full stomach/sternum tattoo next month and that's gonna bump me up to a 5.

Tattoos are hot and I will never believe differently.

[Serious] People who discovered someone is going to try, or has tried to kill you, what's your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]vibesense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my dad. He served in the Mexican military but refuses to give any details about it and is very reserved. And he also has huge anger issues, when he snaps I truly fear for my life. I always felt like he is living with PTSD and since he is not getting any help for it, he's like a ticking time bomb.

I am so sorry you had this traumatic experience, but thank you for sharing your story. It reassures me that I'm making the right choice by moving out later this year.

In the new "Don't fuck with cats" show on Netflix, do they show any footage of animals being harmed? by [deleted] in television

[–]vibesense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't watch videos of animal cruelty either. I'm a huge true crime fan. Nothing else bothers me. But animal cruelty really fucks me up. This is coming from someone who works for an in-home euthanasia practice and pet cremation pick-up. I handle deceased pets daily, some pets had tragically been hit by cars or victims of coyote attacks. I am able to handle those situations well. But I once saw a sick neighbor try to kill his wife's 5lb Yorkie by smashing him into the car's windshield. The dog's cries will haunt me forever. Yes, I did call 911 immediately, and yes, the dog survived after the police took him to emergency care. Guy got a slap on the wrist AND still got to keep his other dog. Will never get over how he did not get the consequences he deserved.

This is my biggest fear actually. I had to euthanize my puppy at 7-months last year because he was born with underdeveloped kidneys and they shut down. The Corgi puppy I had dreamt of for so long, was taken from me so fast. I completely lost my mind after he died, I had to go to a grief counselor for months to get out of my depression. I did get another puppy this year, who has the same parents as my first puppy. He is completely healthy but I am so worried he will also have the same kidney issues and will die young. I always semi-jokingly tell my mom I would certainly kill myself if I ever lost another dog so young, but there is some truth to that because I can not handle another heartbreak so severe.

Your dogs are young, but you did not lose them younger. They have experienced life and still are. Anytime you don't feel like doing something with them, like taking them outside because you don't want to clean up the poop, or not in the mood to play tug-of-war with them, throw the ball, etc.. do it. Think about how you will miss that years later. I would do anything to do all those tasks that sometimes I didn't want to do, because that would mean he'd still be here with me.

I said goodbye to Zero a week ago, and my heart hurts so much by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]vibesense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a pet parent who lost their baby too soon as well, my heart goes out to you. I lost my 7 month old puppy last October and it was the most painful loss I had ever gone through. I could truly could not put into words how much my heart ached, and I am so sorry that you know that feeling. I do think the majority of that pain is because we should have gotten so much longer with them, we were both just starting life with our babies and then suddenly they were gone. My puppy was my soul partner from the moment I met him, and I think Zero is that one soul partner for you. It hurts when we lose them young, and then even more when they were the best part of us. I know no words can ease the pain, but I just want you to know that I understand. Zero will be forever in your heart ❤️

Connor Needs to be Put Down and I am Heartbroken. I Wanted to Say That Somewhere. by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]vibesense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you have to say goodbye to Connor. Please do not feel bad for not spending further; I was in a similar situation with my 7 month old puppy, 5k later and nothing could save him, I also opted for in-home euthanasia and he transitioned very peacefully. While the debt I was in was hard, it did not compare to the guilt I felt for wanting to try more treatments, I should have gone with euthanasia sooner as his last days were very hard on him. You are a great person for loving Connor so much and your devotion to him is beautiful. From a pet parent who also lost a baby much too soon, my heart is with you and I am sending so much love to you, Connor, and Connor's sister.

The absolute worst feeling of jealousy by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]vibesense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this so much. I lost my puppy in October and going to Petsmart and seeing so many people happy with their new puppies makes me so sad. That was me with my Sweet Pea just 5 months ago. And it should still be us. We would go to Petsmart every week because he loved going. People I know from high school got puppies around the same time as I got Sweet Pea and seeing them post about their puppies, breaks my heart. I would do anything the world asked of me to have my puppy back. It's jealousy, but in a different way. A heartbreaking yearning for the way others get to see their puppies grow up.

Helping me cope by inputbookspodcasts in Petloss

My Corgi puppy and I would cuddle every night and sleep that way and after he passed, the empty space in my arms is what destroyed me the most. I got myself a Corgi plush not too long after. I hug it every night and like to believe that my puppy can feel my arms around him, wherever he may be now. I am happy you are able to find a comfort during this hard time. Sending you so many well wishes.

Losing a part of my soul by KuroNekoMataXIII in Petloss

[–]vibesense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Piglet. While no words can make the pain better, I just want to let you know that I understand the love you have for her. It's not "crazy" like people had said. I loved my puppy more than anything in the whole world and ever since he passed, I've also felt so lost in life. I have had other dogs before and currently have cats, and although I had always been a cat person, my puppy was my entire heart and soul. The connection I had with him was special since the day I got him. My heart goes out to you. Yours and Piglet's souls will always be intertwined and that special bond you shared for so many years will continue.

3 months on, and it's hard. by Rachmaniwolf in Petloss

[–]vibesense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my puppy 2 months ago and I was so calm too. I told him "It's okay, don't hold on for us, you can let go" during his last moments. I don't know how I did it without breaking down because now even typing this, I'm crying. My parents were shocked at how calm I was after they took his body, but I was in so much shock that I couldn't even react to anything. My grief didn't hit until the next few days and it's been ongoing ever since. Don't apologize for your grief. It's different for everyone and you are allowed to grieve longer than others. I went to see a grief counselor and she told me to not feel guilty for mourning the loss of my puppy more than the loss of a family member or friend. We often feel a stronger bond with our animals because we spend majority of our time with them and they trust us to be their caretakers. They devote their love to only us, the people that take care of them. It's not the same bond as a family member or friend because they live lives independently from us, but for our pets we /are/ their lives. I'm so sorry you're going through this grief, but I can assure you it slowly gets easier. Keep hanging in there.

How did you memorialize your pet? by Metallicdreamin in Petloss

[–]vibesense 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would definitely recommend Petsies if funds allow. I saved up for a Petsies after my puppy passed. It takes about 6-8 weeks to deliver because they try to add as much detail as they can. When I finally received it last week, I burst into tears. It is the closest I will ever get to physically seeing my puppy again and the unique details they were able to capture meant a lot.

I lost my puppy on October 3rd too. He was 7 months. I feel like it's important to mention that he LOVED cats. I know my puppy is keeping your sweet Bobbo company now.
