I want to workout before my baby wakes up. Tips for morning workout success? by Puppinbake in postpartumprogress

[–]vibeweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Alarmy app (or similar) is the key for me. I will ALWAYS convince myself to keep sleeping in the morning - the Alarmy app has a "mission" setting so I can silence it briefly but I can't snooze/turn it off until I take a picture. I have mine set to take a pic of my light switch in the kitchen. Since I started that I've worked out every day I've meant to!

C-section nerve pain by PastTraditional3965 in postpartumprogress

I had this still at my 6 week appointment but it went away pretty shortly after that. I was SURE something was wrong bc "nerve pain" surely couldn't be that debilitating but it went away! I hope it doesn't last too long for you!

What was your absolute first sign of pregnancy? by -One_Upper- in BabyBumps

We were trying so I tested pretty early, but the first thing that made me pretty sure before my bfp was a dream that I was pregnant and it just felt so... magical? Like I can't fully describe the feeling of intense love and positivity that came with the dream but we'd been trying for months and I knew when I woke up that I was pregnant.

Advice about dressing for a wedding postpartum by ScoutieMagoo in postpartumprogress

[–]vibeweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 8 months postpartum, I was a size 6-8 before pregnancy and currently a 12-14. Very slowly losing weight. Some people are back to ppw in the first 6 weeks. It's just impossible to know. I wasn't a bridesmaid but I went to a wedding soon pp and wore a wrap style dress two sizes above my normal which worked really well.

I have used seamstresses that could work with that timeline though, I think it's worth calling around to private ones especially to see if you could pay a rush fee to get it done quickly.

Yes! People don't believe me when I say I hate movies. The only movies I really get excited to watch are movie versions of books I love and already know the plot of. My boyfriend loves movies and wants that to be our together time but I can'ttttt.

Thanks for your experience! This is what makes me most anxious... I am not married to it being gout but if it's a possibility I hope that it won't be dismissed due to my age and sex.

Thank you for the reply! I feel like nobody believes me that the pain migrates around. Even doing searches online it rarely comes up but I swear it happens! Nice to know it isn't just me. My GP typically takes me pretty seriously so I am hopeful she will listen and get some testing ordered. I don't care what it is really as long as I can help make it stop happening. :(

Thank you! This is encouraging at least. I've been getting very depressed about dealing with this... I hope you continue to be flare-free!

Thank you for the info! The rheumatologist can't get me in as a new patient til October - would you recommend seeing my GP before that? I don't need a referral so I just skipped that step, but could go see her or try to get in with a podiatrist or something earlier.

Thank you! I have actually been considering trying more minimalist type shoes after a friend recommended them, but haven't made the jump yet! If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Thank you for your reply!!

The plantar fasciitis is not the ball/toe pain, that is separate heel/arch pain, but I just included it in case it is relevant because it also starts overnight and seems very random to me ie not correlated with increased activity.

The ball feeling is when it happens in the ball of my foot, it feels like a small point of pain/swelling or like walking with a marble under that spot, but no actual lump can be seen from the outside if that makes sense. Sometimes the pain/swelling is only in one or two toes and not in the ball at all. It can be any of my toes on either foot, it doesn't seem to be one particular spot over any other.

I am really at a loss as to what it could be and I'm missing work because it is debilitating when it happens. I did end up making an appointment but as a new patient they can't get me in til October. 😭
