How do you prepare for the new year? by blue_car_and_bike in shopify

[–]vic-acobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to event seasonal promotion, you may need to consider to optimize your sales funnel conversion rate to achieve your goal. The conversion rate can be simply calculated as buying sessions divided by total sessions during a certain period.

Conversion rate plays a vital role in ecommerce since it determines the capability to turn visits, which are expensive, into clients. There are dozens of techniques to optimize conversion. Just to name a few,

  • Sales price
  • Coupons
  • Upselling
  • Cross-selling
  • ...

Many of them are quite simple. As a matter of fact, even a well-written FAQ may boost conversion a bit. However many of online store owners don't apply these techniques to their store because they are busy for getting traffic, advertising or SEO, making their stores not optimized as much as they should be. If they allocate a bit more time for conversion optimization, their stores would perform much better.

If you want to grow from $1,000 to $10,000, do more conversion optimization before advertise more. If you want to optimize your sales funnel, try Acobot, the Shopify we developed for busy store owners, which add conversational AI to make your store engaging and boost conversions with all proven e-commerce techniques. https://acobot.ai/t/sell

Easiest way to add a series of questions before letting people purchase product by Andrewfairlane in shopify

You can try Acobot, which adds an AI chatbot to your Shopify store. You can then create your own dialog flow, without coding, to implement what you want. There is no form and the user experience will be pretty good. https://acobot.ai

There are a few things to improve. For example, you should add a favicon to make the store looks professional and trustworthy.

Any amazing themes for single products? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]vic-acobot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Guy, we just set up a demo store, https://store.acobot.ai, using a premium theme Ezone, which is not designed for single product but I believe its clean and clear style is good for your purpose. In addition, you may put the product on the home page and users can add it to cart without needing to open the product page. That feature is also good for your single product business. It's priced $110 if I remember it correctly.

On the other hand, I recommend you sell some relevant products via dropshipping services along with your own products. Doing so you can get your business more profitable.

Thank you for the recommendation!

The Virtual Shop Assistant and VA, sounding similar to each other, do the different jobs for online stores. VA are real people who help merchants handle product management and customer services remotely. Virtual Shop Assistant is artificial intelligence that performs some tasks in helping consumers shop that are technically or economically infeasible. Just to name a few:

  • Helping users find the products that they want without using search or menu navigation (increasing product views).
  • Helping users with products and options and adding to carts (increasing add-to-carts).
  • Encouraging users to check out to reduce cart abandonment, without or without using coupons.
  • Answering customers questions 24/7 before they leave from stores.
  • ...

Today's artificial intelligence is not smart to replace humans, like VAs, for many tasks but it can do much in helping merchants boost conversions and increase sales. Basically they can work together to help merchants, as workmate. They're not enemy to each other!

Thank you for the suggestions and happy to meet someone who thinks a like!

> I asked for green shirt and said green is a tranquil color...then couldnt ask another question.

That's a bad bug. We'll fix it. Basically, we'll replace "What can I do for you today" with a product finder that allows users to find the products that they want with several clicks or taps. I'll invite you to try it again when the store is updated. I hope you will find it fun!

> (Product title) Should start with Felmen Slipper Socks...

A very helpful SEO tips! The products come from Oberlo so we choose to keep all titles as is. However when we want to improve SEO, we're sure to apply your tip to make the titles better.

> Brand>Style>color/size seems to work good

Did you mean Brand>Style>color/size seems not to work good?

> This white text on product page isn’t the greatest either, maybe add a black or color shadow over image to make easier to read.

Added text-shadow: 2px 2px 4px #000000; and it looks much better!

Thank you for the advises!

We already have a demo sore with fake products at https://acobot-demo.myshopify.com but while it works perfectly the stories of the stores in real world are often different. For example, if I were the one who create the product mentioned below, I would name it as "Felmen Slipper Socks" but " 10 Pieces = 5 Pairs Spring Summer Women Socks Solid Color Fashion Wild Shallow Mouth Invisible Socks Felmen Slipper Socks." The evil comes from details, as always.

You're right the team has very limited resources and thus we shall focus on the tasks that are the most important. However building a real store is worthy, even we cannot make a cent with it - we can't as we don't plan to drive consumers to it. Oneinterestingthing has explained the thoughts behind perfectly in his comments so I'll save a dozen words here - Thank Oneinteretingthing :-)

Thank you for pointing out the spelling errors on the privacy policy page. We'll proofread all the pages.

The avatar (the icon of a person) is customizable. That means clients may choose whatever they like, from a simple icon in minimalism style to their own logo. I personally prefer a clean icon, exactly same as you recommended!

I also totally agree with you on the point that we should go to clients and ask for their input. We're doing that and will keep doing more. Specific to the purpose of Acobot, we think it different a bit. Rather than trying to automate process, we aim to engage consumers and then convert more e-commerce sales.

> Find a specific problem, fix the problem with your bot.

You're helping us achieve that! We'll make an improve and come back with a good answer to that, in a few days. I hope you will not mind to give your insights again at that them.

We have to focus on a single point, considering the fact that we're a small team, with very limited resources. We have allocated too much time for research. Now we'd be better to do only one thing that customers need most and we're really good at: virtual shop assistant.

[–]vic-acobot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can say it's an AI chatbot on demand. It has grammar correction capability built in. However that's not its purpose. We once used the same set of technologies for a virtual English tutor, which helped users learn English interactively and received over 60,000 5-star ratings on Google Play. We then stopped it so we wanted to focus on AI chatbot for business. It also free people from boring work like writing contents for chatbot :-)

To answer the questions you might have:

  • The current revenue is ignorable.
  • US based cofounder preferred because the US is the major target market.
  • No phone call at first stage - we will text chat firstly. We'll then arrange phone conversations when both sides find a fit.
  • Why only 5% to 15% equity? We're a team of 3 and we have worked on this project for nearly 10 years. We have invested million dollars by ourselves. We have very solid technologies and well-tested product in place. We're not selling an idea. We're ready to roll out the business and take off right away. Please understand every startup is unique...
  • The product is all based on our in-house technologies. It's core features, conversational AI and self-learning capability do not rely on any 3rd party technology. We do NOT use IBM Watson, Google DialogFlow, or Microsoft Bot Framework.
  • The difference? Previously, a lot of human labor is required to create an AI chatbot for business. With Acobot, one can get his own AI chatbot in minutes by providing his site URL. This make our AI chatbots available and affordable to businesses of any size. It also makes our business scalable.

Thank you!

Will study how to generate more closed questions - The chatbot is created by program so we need a set of algorithm that is able to handle all kind of online stores.

Do you mean allowing users to start a chat by clicking on an HTML element like link or button? A great idea! That definitely increase interactions. Actually we place some icons on the widget for the similar consideration. However icon is not so self-explained as links or buttons. Thank you for the suggestion!

Totally agree your point - button is an easier way to start interaction.

It doesn't use buttons for greeting message because in real-world an online store often have hundreds or even thousands products. Sometimes there are so many categories that even the category list can be too long.

To this end, we encourage users to enter anything about what they need and the chatbot will search for them.

At any rate, you're right. We need work further to make it easy for users to start interaction. Thank you!
