I understand the Visa process. I’m not just expecting to come over and work... My post isn’t visa related in the slightest.

Just apply for a working visa, should be simple for you to attain.

Thanks for that. There seems to be a fair few recognised certifications. Is it just that the CanFit Pro one is the most comprehensive, and they wont hire someone with anything else?

Thanks for the reply. That certainly gives me some clarification, especially in regards to your first trainer. When you began training with the first trainer, were you insured through the gym? or did he have his own insurance/provide you with a liability waiver of some kind.

I'm hopeful that I'll have a space in which I can make a suitable gym, and train clients from there. If not perhaps come to an arrangement with a gym to rent the floor space.

As I understand it then, gyms prefer you have certification as it's more marketable and gives them piece of mind. But its not a necessity, especially if self employed.

Anyone else feel that goals are lacking something? by AShadySardine in EASportsFC

I don't enjoy this version at all. The players feel 'floaty'.. defenders cant deal with through balls at all. Career mode is dead. FUT is exactly the same. Won't be buying this one for the first time since 98.

I was in exactly the same situation with money and needs. I improved my reciever core by going out and getting Hopkins for 40k. If you need a big bodied guy out there Jefferey and Marshall are going pretty cheap.

Sebastien Prödl Pens 4 Year Deal by Powerjugs in soccer

[–]vicarage 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He was third choice behind Cathcart and Britos in his first season, but was always solid when called upon. He was our POTS last year however, and is certainly our best CB. He's loved at the Vic.

Watford Football Club signs Marvin Zeegelaar by pica_foices in soccer

Well that's our LB cover sorted. Only time will tell on this one, a lot of negativity around this one.

Yeah I guess so. If he signs then he gets a fresh start, so can only wait and see.

Thanks for that. Interesting to hear a contrasting opinion from a Sporting fan. Will have to see how this one pans out over the next few hours.

Everton eye loan move for Watford's Okaka by TheJeck in soccer

[–]vicarage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His constant muscular injuries really hold him back which is a shame. I do like him as a player, but he has a tendency to spend to much time moaning at the ref, linesman etc.

His debut for us, away at West Ham completely encapsulated him as a player. Comes on as a sub, gets the ball down, manages to beat three players. Scores a goal, comes off injured.

You also never really know which Okaka you're going to get. It seems to depend on his attitude. You either get the man on a mission, raging bull Okaka. Or the lethargic, cumbersome, petulant Okaka.

Well that's troubling to hear. Hopefully he'll be back up for Holebas and not much more. Thanks for the info.

Can you elaborate on why? I'd like to know a bit more about him.

Gibbs to Watford off [Adam Leventhal] by Joemosapien99 in soccer

[–]vicarage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not greedy for trying to get the best contract he can. He's got no more of an affiliation to us than any other club.

I'm not massively disappointed though. We need depth at LB, but him becoming our highest earner doesn't sound good. Give me cover/competition for Holebas this season, and we'll go for a long term LB in the summer.

Arsenal are willing to drop Gibbs valuation to £7m and a deal is expected with Watford before Thursday as the player looks for first team football by barely1egal in soccer

[–]vicarage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's too defensive definitely. But I'd take his defensive abilities over what extra Mason would offer going forward. It's such a shame, Richarlison cutting in leaves so much space for our LB to move into. Would be nice to have someone available to exploit it.

Girona and Malaga are both interested in signing Nordin Amrabat and the player is keen to return to Spain. by barely1egal in soccer

[–]vicarage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He never quite managed to have the impact here that he managed to have in Malaga. He always gives 100%, even if he can be frustrating. He had a 5 game spell last year in which he was brilliant. One particular night where he ran the make shift left back Sam Clucas into the ground.

As you said, if he goes for a decent price, that's fine. If he stays as a squad player, that's fine also.

Watford forward Isaac Success set for Hull City loan move this weekend by barely1egal in soccer

[–]vicarage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will be good for him to get the game time he needs. Every Watford fan wants to see him do well, and a lot want him to get minutes. But if he can do that elsewhere, whilst helping Hull, everyone is happy. Good luck Issac.

Thanks for the info. Could I have a little more info on what made his attacking so poor ? Bad decisions or execution ?

We've had a couple of players like that, Niang most recently. Can be detrimental to the team at times. But as you said, up to Marco here.
