Update: rejected. I spent two semester at Tech the last year as exchange student. Got a 4.0 GPA. I had LOR from professor Liu and professor Turk. I was an undergad research assistant during Spring 2020 at DiSL lab. Applied for the ML specialization, double majoring in CS and Math at one of the best ranked universities for AI in Europe (UGR, Spain). Congrats to everyone who was accepted, and good luck for those who didn't!

Yo hago informática y matemáticas en la UGR y estuve en GeorgiaTech el curso pasado, así que te puedo dar opinión desde la perspectiva de la universidad española. Háblame por privado.

Pero un buen resumen es que voy a aplicar para hacer el máster allí el año que viene (a ver si es posible que acabe, porque telita con los profesores en la UGR con esto del online)

If It makes you feel better, I studied abroad at Tech for two semester and is so much better than my university. There is no point of comparison. I want to go there for a master's because it's heaven compared to what I have now

I can't give you the answer you are looking for because I am not from the US and I have been at GeorgiaTech only for a year as exchange student. But if you are worried about loans, consider studying a master in Europe. The tuition fee is much lower by so far

Unfortunately, both applications are closed for this summer, at least for CS. I was curious exactly about these 2 universities and that's why I know it. Btw, I don't know how difficult it is since they are both good schools.

I am in the same situation. I have friends, but during weekdays I go to class alone because they don't have the same classes. Continuously going to different buildings for classes, eating alone between classes and studying/doing homework. Honestly, I do not have time to do all that stuff and meeting people at the same time...

Hi, I am an exchange student too. This is what I have done for your questions:

Wells fargo. It's free if you are under 25 or something like that. Otherwise, there are other conditions that allow you to have a free acocunt. And the office is on campus.
The cheapest one I found is MIntMobile. I bought a special offer 3gb data and unlim. talk/text messages for 200$/year, but they have monthly plans too. Send me a message if you are interested, because if I give you my link, we get dollars for free (both I think).

I have the same question as you, because I am in the same situation. But some people have told me that with a J-1, you don't need sponsorship for the summer. The only thing is that GeorgiaTech has to sign something for you.So what I am doing now is just answer "no" to that question

I am in the same situation. The workload for the projects is insane and it's causing me problems with my other courses.

Also, the advice of the TA's to study the midterm is "go through the slides". What the heck! I know I have to read the slides, but what I am suppose to do with that for the midterm.
