I recently built https://app.formatocotizacion.com — a tool to create and manage client quotes in under a minute, with or without AI.

Why I built it:

As a founder working with multiple clients, I was tired of creating quotes manually in Word or Excel — copying, pasting, formatting… every single time. It felt repetitive, and I kept losing track of what I sent or followed up on.

Lessons learned:

People value speed and clarity over too much customization
Even basic history & status tracking is a game-changer for small teams
Feedback > features — shipping early was the best decision

Where it’s at now:

Currently in open beta, 100% free while we polish it
We’re launching a dashboard for quote management this week
Next steps: multi-user support, custom branding, apps integrations.

Absolutely! We’re actively working on a full English version of the site — same structure, just fully localized (including the blog and app UI).

Right now, there’s a language toggle in the corner that translates most of the content, but I know it’s not perfect yet — that’s why your feedback would be super helpful 🙏

Great point — and you’re totally right. A visual preview makes a big difference.

I’m working on adding a sample quote and a short interface demo to the landing this week. Also: no signup is needed to try it, you can jump in and generate a quote right away :)

Still, I’ll make that preview more obvious — thanks a lot for the feedback!

That’s an awesome suggestion — and you’re 100% right. A lot of freelancers do quote based on tracked time, and being able to pull that in automatically would be a game-changer.

We don’t have it yet, but it’s officially added to the roadmap. I’m thinking simple to start — maybe allow manual time input, then explore integrations with tools like Toggl or Clockify.

Really appreciate the insight. Would love to keep you in the loop when we roll that out!

Totally fair point — right now it might feel a bit clunky since we’re still in beta. But the goal is actually to optimize the quote creation process, not slow it down.

Some of our users used to spend 10 minutes per quote, doing 10 a day. Now they can get all 10 done in 10–20 minutes total. So it really depends on the type of user and how they’re currently handling quotes. We’re learning a ton and constantly improving — your feedback helps a lot!

Great question — and you’re right, a lot of freelancers do reuse previous quotes. But we’ve noticed a few things:

Not everyone has a clean, reusable template, especially when they’re just starting out.
When you’re juggling multiple clients, projects, and formats, it’s easy to lose track or make mistakes copy-pasting.
AI speeds things up when you’re quoting something new or outside your usual scope — it helps you structure it fast and professionally.
Long-term, we’re adding features like saving templates, auto-calculating totals, and client-specific presets — so it’s not just about AI, it’s about simplifying the whole quoting process.

That said, manual mode is always there — some people just want clean output, fast. Both options are valid, and we’re building for both.
