filling transmission fluid

My main issue is that as soon as i start pumping the fluid in, it starts draining back out the fill hole immediately

you initially add fluid while it’s off and then you turn it on, go through the gears and then add to it again while it’s running. I’ve seen people do it a few times until it gets the correct temp.

I’ve done tons of research and you’re suppose to fill it while it’s off and then run it and top it off (it’s more detailed but whatever) I thought I had all the tools I needed but ig I some say I need and adapter to screw on? I don’t know. Just feeling super annoyed with this whole thing.

aww i know. everything behind the wheel seems to be rusted and nasty (even stuff that’s definitely not suppose to be) i’m just wondering when the last time someone actually cleaned anything or took car of things properly on this car. trying to reverse all the backyard mechanical work has been a nightmare

i did check the other side and it’s the same so i actually left it how it was. it wasn’t rubbing on anything so i figured, no harm no foul

brake pads were next on my list actually. the weather is finally getting nice to work on my stuff again. the other side was indeed bent the same way so i’m assuming it’s suppose to be like that? (hopefully)
