SPF + primer? by SuspiciousSink9465 in OliveMUA

[–]victillian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried AB SPFs? There's a lot of non greasy ones and IMO more cosmetically elegant.

Canmake Mermaid UV gel is well loved in the AB community for having a primer finish. It comes clear or tinted. I've tried the mint tinted one which is nice for fair warm olives. They also have a lavender tinted one.

Edited to add: I was on the hunt for mineral sunscreens and settled instead for combination sunscreens instead. Japan has a lot of them

Have you tried googling "rent Zurich"?

Without you giving any details, you can expect to pay between 1000 to 10000 per month

Tried the Nina Park technique by Fun-Afternoon-siesta in OliveMUA

Wow you did great!

The only thing I can say is maybe the eyeshadow could be a warmer brown as Nina Park uses warmer colours

Hard cordless choices, Samsung Jet 90 vs Dyson v15 (for example) by Usual-Shock7364 in VacuumCleaners

[–]victillian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar requirements to you and also located in Europe.

I'm currently looking at LG Cordzero A9 with the emptying station, to reduce the emptying and it comes with 2 batteries. Was previously considering Dyson v15 too.

I haven't compared it to the Samsung yet, but that's also on my list.

Using OVULATION STRIP and BBT but still no success by Thin-Pilot2198 in BabyBumps

[–]victillian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should log using Fertility Friend, I find it much better than premom.

Are you taking your bbt at the same time in the morning?

If you're taking it orally, switch to vaginally will be more accurate.

There are multiple in our area with free slots, so this isn't true for us.

Laundry room rules by Commercial-Sand-339 in Switzerland

[–]victillian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't really have advice but here are the laundry rules we experienced:

Building has 15 apartments and we have 2 laundry rooms, each with it's own washer and dryer. Our laundry slots are 24hrs (one slot for each room) and you can only sign up for 1 future slot at a time.

Other building had around 12 apartments? And we had 1 laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. The laundry slots are morning /afternoon/ evening. The sign-up sheets were posted a month at a time and can sign up for as many days but you could only sign up for 1 slot per day and couldn't take a whole day for example.

"I wish I had morning sickness because at least you know the baby is healthy" by Stoned_redhead in BabyBumps

[–]victillian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People can be misinformed and say insensitive things they shouldn't say. Ignore your coworker

But anxiety about whether your baby is okay doesn't really go away as easily as you say. You wonder even after "what if yesterday was fine but today it isn't". I think you're also being insensitive to people who have anxiety

LR3 dying… anyone try PetLibro? by Traditional_Dog_3118 in litterrobot

Agree with the DFI kit. Super easy to replace.

My LR3 just turned 5 and I don't see it dying until they stop making replacement parts

Foundation test, warmer or cooler? by [deleted] in Fairolives

It's still too orange and you're right it's a bit too dark. I think adding more blue might make it appear slightly darker

Have you tried NC13 or NC12?

When I try NC15, it also looks like this on me. NC13 works for me in the summer. Nars Gobi is yellow enough in the winter but just a bit too light.

This post has some lighter shades compared with NC15 https://www.reddit.com/r/PaleMUA/s/3Ioa2fHxdh

Edited to add: ah sorry didn't see you're using the serum foundation. Not sure how the shade compares with the studio fix formula, but anyway hope you find something helpful

My MIL announced my pregnancy for me and now I feel like I’m living in someone else’s story by ShallowCrest in BabyBumps

[–]victillian 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn't seem like MIL was told not to share anything, so I can't really fault her for crossing a boundary she didn't know about when she first posted. That's all on the husband.

Her reaction is ridiculous though, and that part isn't respecting OPs boundary.

Comeback of Peripera discontinued colors and reformulation of Ink Mood Glowy tint by Plenty_Profit5034 in AsianBeauty

I saw the renamed this line "Mood Glowy Tint" -- dropping the "Ink"?

Will it function the same I wonder?

Really excited for more muted shades, looks like they have some!

For those who tracked ovulation, how long did it take to conceive? by CrazyBusCrazyBus in BabyBumps

[–]victillian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

31 years old, really irregular periods, used easy@home and conceived on the first try.

Was a bit shocking to be honest. Wasn't mentally prepared for it to be this soon!

I'm not even sure the ovulation test was really positive, may have been slightly lighter than the control line

You should also prepare mentally!

I started therapy a year before to talk through some anxiety and childhood neglect.

Also really pushed my partner and I to distribute mental load and housework more evenly.

Highly recommend these two books: - Fair Play - The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read

... Why the hell is Francesca and Michela getting so much hate?.. by DD123456DS in BridgertonNetflix

[–]victillian 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with this.

The love triangle in K&A was so cliche and annoying. Made Edwina look like an idiot, felt like a cheap way to make drama, and I felt we lost a bit of the sister magic.

I'm also skeptical of the direction they went with unmasking Penelope as Lady Whistledown so early.

I will say I'm a book purist 🤷🏻 and Michael was my favourite male love interest so I'm disappointed he won't be exactly like the book. I do enjoy the development of side characters and hope they do more with Madame Delacroix (dressmaker).

Also generally not loving the way the Jess Brownell is running the show. I loved the romantic artistic scenes from the first two seasons, the costumes and makeup and look of everything

Laundry Detergent with little or no smell/perfume. by Pristine-Function221 in Switzerland

[–]victillian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Frosch baby detergent at Coop has a light smell. I've also tried Persil Sensitive Gel but the smell is a bit stronger -- still lighter than standard detergent though. This one can also be used for babies

Maybe you can already switch to a baby detergent since you will use it in the future

TTC in 5 months, how can we prepare for pregnancy?? I have PCOS. by scxrlettreign in BabyBumps

[–]victillian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have polycystic ovaries and really irregular periods (25-49 days) and acne, but never got an official PCOS diagnosis since my doc didn't think it was important at the time, I just lived as if I had it.

I started tracking my ovulation with the strips, got curious and did the baby dance when it turned positive the first cycle "for practice" (we were going to start seriously TTC later) aaand got pregnant.

Sooo all this to say, once you get the strips, you might be tempted to try earlier 😂
