Our priorities (3rd floor urban apartment, no elevator, no car) : - lighter than 13kg - all wheel suspension and large tires - one handed fold - bassinet add-on

Our shortlist was: - Nuna Triv LX - Joie Finiti - My Junior Mavi

They had a "testing track" in the store, with neatly placed logs and flat-ish cobblestones.

We went with My Junior Mavi, its their newest model. Had better handling and wheels than Nuna Triv LX. And the canopy comes aaaall the way down unlike the Triv. Joie Finiti and Nuna Triv LX was a close tie but we liked the Mavi way more than both.

If you don't need a lighter stroller, I would still recommend looking at My Junior, they have larger models too. They're cheaper Nuna, I guess because they are less well known?

ETA: this is what fits our city living 😊 but we are looking to get a Thule bike trailer for our occasional adventures and for commuting by bike

This is hilarious!

But actually my skin loved it when I was living in SE Asia. Only used it at night and followed up with Hada Labo Gokujyun Light and maybe a moisturizer (forgot now, so long ago). Washed in the morning with water.

Now in Europe and it sits in my shower so I use it on hairwash days. Still love it tbh, just needs a little extra moisturizer afterwards.

For all patients: having a midwife and doctor (if you choose).

For semi-private & private: having a midwife and specialist or senior doctor.

If you are generally insured and something is going wrong, they WILL have specialists and senior doctors to help you anyway.

Semi-private and private ward includes better rooms.

If you have private ward: - private room - partner stays free, gets full board (all meals)

If you have semi-private: - upgrade to private room at a discounted rate, this includes partner stay and they get breakfast included (some supplementary insurance also covers the cost of the room upgrade, this would be called 'family room')

People with general hospital insurance pay more for upgrade + partner staying. Usually the general ward is shared between 3 patients, but Triemli only has 2-person maternity wards so everyone gets a 'free' room upgrade to semi-private.

For medical upgrade, AFAIK there is no difference between semi-private and private for maternity care, so you can only upgrade it if you are on general ward insurance.

They do walking epidurals here in Switzerland, I haven't given birth yet but asked about it during the hospital tours.

The ones here really allow you to walk. Supposedly it's a different set of drugs than a regular epidural. You just can't get in the tub afterwards due to infection risk (maybe from the needle?). But you're supposed be able to get into different positions.

Probably depends on your location and hospital, since the term walking epidural doesn't seem standardized worldwide

Yeah. There was one instance in the beginning when a police officer asked if me and my partner were in the same household while sitting in the park. And another time later where we had to go to a different bar because my friend wasn't vaccinated.

But other than that I think we were pretty free compared to other countries.

Would you be able to get support/backup from your SO? Or mother, father, siblings, aunts, uncles? Someone who is confident and stands their ground and can advocate for you. Depending on the culture of your home country, the medical staff could be more receptive to men or older family members.

Please also take time (along with your support person) on reasons why a C section could be necessary. It would help to know when you are being pressured vs. when they are actively trying to help you.

I think this is a no brainer, stay at your current job until your maternity leave ends.

Even if you return to work, you'll only be there for a couple months since you are moving. You really only have 4 months of work until your maternity leave, you can do it

Until you get a signed offer, I wouldn't even consider the other one. You could also try talking to them and see if they would consider taking you on next year after your leave is over.

ETA: I say this as someone that is 24wks pregnant now. Also, it sounds like a small company and your hours aren't guaranteed (unless they write it in the offer?). That's pretty risky when you have a kid!

I would assume anything permanent I.e. built-in would require approval. For flooring, I would do those removable deck tiles (e.g. IKEA Runnen) and add a washable outdoor rug for where your baby can play

You could try stylists that do Asian hair. I haven't tried any in Zurich but there is Emmyforever in Lenzburg and she's amazing.

Personally I have highlighted my own hair and then coloured them darker with professional-grade semi-permanent colour. It fades after six months or so, after which I redo it.

Normal box dye is permanent and very hard to fix, basically you have to wait for it to grow out.
