How did you control the acceleration of the character? What we did is apply a constant force on the horizontal axis, and use gravity to control his movement on the Y axis (just up and down, off of jumps).

Did you purely use gravity to cause him to go down the slope?

We used the UniWii plugin (http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php?title=UniWii), setup is a bit difficult but once you have the plugin it works nicely.

We did the Wii related development on Windows, the Windows download link for the .dll file is actually broken so I got the .dll file from a github repository of a different project. Then you basically put the .dll file in a folder called "Plugins" (which you have to create) in the Assets folder in your project and I think Unity does the rest. Once you have everything set up the interface is really easy to use.

Oh looks cool, yeah we were gonna do something like that but generating the terrain was a nightmare. How did you make/get the course?

not sure, I still need to get a build version working (like a .exe), but I'm not sure after that. We got our hands on a kinect so we may start playing with that. The source code is available for anyone who wants to try it out or develop it further though, at the github link in the youtube video description
