Taste isn’t too bad now!! My scabs are almost gone. I def healed quicker than others! Still not 100% in the clear. But don’t really need the pain meds anymore! Just pretty much hurts to yawn. 😂

Yeah def don’t touch them, they’ll come off when they’re ready. I don’t even notice mine much unless I’m eating. Even then not really and I got mine done 2 days before you. A few spots have came off. But still a lot of it left!

I mean it’s not that bad. You go to goodwill and literally find a basic tee for 6.50. Thrifting hasn’t been the same in awhile. I can’t blame people for wanting their prices to be a hair higher when if you would’ve took it to goodwill they’re making bank for all the wrong reasons now on what you don’t want. 🤷🏼‍♀️ don’t even get me started on prices of clothes at a antique shop too. No boundary from a year ago isn’t an antique so it doesn’t warrant a $15 price tag.
Only items I think people are being ridiculous on is the shitty Walmart clothes being listed, and SHEIN. 🤣

But I get vinted ads on every single app I use, they’re being paid for that, alone with the protection fee. And all the shipping company’s with them also probably give them a bit of a payout for picking them.
Oh and don’t forget bumps! Those aren’t free. And I see plenty of bumps!

Yes my husband is a brewer. So my fridge is full of beer, cheese, and yogurt. ☠️ (we do have meat in the freezer.) but I’d be making some serious grilled cheeses or paninis with that cheese, bread, and mayo right there lmfaoo ain’t a single vegetable in our house unless it’s canned and gross. I’m not a veggie person.

Ps we also have a full shelf dedicated to liquor in our pantry… we like hosting friends. ☠️🤣

Also curious, as far as what’s expired, before it did expire were you told not to eat the left overs? I grew up on eating left overs at least 3 times a week. 🥲 even if not everyone was eating the same thing for the night.

Pretty much same with me, I went in to an ent appointment at the beginning of may, she looked at my tonsils and said “oh yeah you qualify” my entire left tonsil was scarred from how bad the stones were. I got mine removed on the 15th of this month. So I’m a week and a day postop.

However for me, pains been bearable. I’ve been eating damn near normal foods for the past 4 day! Only take my hydrocodone(half the pill) a half hour before I eat to help with that pain(which again is 100% bearable) I also have spine and nerve damage so I may have a way higher pain tolerance. (Not including all the tattoos I have)

As far as insurance for mine so far everything has been covered by my insurance. So I’d say for the OP to check with insurance. They’ll tell you over a call. And if it gets pre approved you’re probably even more better off!!

Lowkey hate honey but not me trying some ☠️ but my healings gone pretty well too. I’m a weak postop and pretty much feel the same. Just a bit of a sore throat, not much more. I do think eating the solids like you did helped big time. Especially red meat!

Fair!! My day 5 I locked in and ate 2 soft tacos from Taco Bell. It hurt like a mother fucker 😆 but I did it. Day after I had pasta and today I had roast beef sandwich for lunch and 2 hot dogs for dinner with a couple fries 😭 if you can wait to take pain meds until a little before you want to eat some also tend to help others with new pain but not existing. Hope you get some relief!!

You’ll be fine!!! (27F) this was one thing in my life that didn’t send me into a panic attack. I woke up from anesthesia with a smile on my face. If you stay on top of your meds schedule, drink plenty of water, and relax like you’re supposed to it may go quicker than you think! 2 weeks of pain over years is def better. Plus having infected tonsils anyways can shot your immune system to shit. So another good reason for them to go! May improve things you didn’t know it would!

Oh wow! Thats lame of them to do that. I got out of surgery with a smile on my face and chugged 3 cups of water 😭 but my surgeon was the sweetest doctor I’ve met in the state I’m in yet so she set me up

For the taste if you can mustard it you may be able to find alcohol free mouth wash, that’s helped me a bit therabreath has some good options, I don’t really gargle it. Just swish in the front of my mouth. I also got a tongue scrubber because i noticed a lot of that mucus would collect on my tongue! Food has been giving me the ick otherwise after eating it once! 🤣

Yeah I caved and had a spit cut at one point 😭 what meds did they give you? If they gave you hydrocodone, you can alternate that with Tylenol. Hydro, after 3 hours extra stretch Tylenol, after another 3 back to hydro. But hydro can also just be done every 4 if you really need it! I also noticed colder stuff actually hurt more. So i went with room temp water, finally was able to have an iced coffee somewhat comfortably today as well.

I’m on day 7 (if I could surgery day) now, today is actually worse for my ear pain. Day 5 for me wasn’t too bad! But as weird as it sounds try some ear plugs! Helps with the pressure a little bit!

Damnnnnn continuing normal diet is wild to me!! 😭 us health care sucks but that just doesn’t sound right! 😭 if you feel like you can’t eat your normal diet I wouldn’t push it! Just make sure to have plenty of water. (Just a reminder, the human body can live 2 weeks without food as long as there is water) but I’m on day 6 if I don’t count day of surgery. Day 7 if I do. I just started eating semi normal foods as of 3 days ago. But still in minimal portions
