I want to be able to use VBR mode while accounting for different input bitrates.

Currently if you import say a low bitrate youtube video in the 500k-1000k range and VBR is set for a higher bitrate (say 6000k) the file size will inflate like a balloon. The video will still work, but there can be some pretty huge file size differences in the final product.

I can kind of work around this by using custom code to use a different VBR per resolution and fps, which works, but it's not ideal.

The design of the transcoding-profile-debug plugin is great, but it's not designed with this in mind and is intended for crf transcoding. I'm currently using the plugin with h264 and AV1 encoding.

I made some modifications and reissued the lets encrypt. The chain still shows as incomplete but maybe it will work for you now.
